It's such a huge weight off my mind, hoping it won't be too much longer. So exciting, I'll finally be able to buy a car and can start planning our move to Nova Scotia

Congratulations! I bet you are longing for eastern canada as much as I am :D

We're in New Brunswick at the moment, but due to lack of work here we're going to move to Halifax and take our chances there :)

We are in Halifax :) PM me if you have any questions or need advice about the city. Where in NB are you located now? We are exhibiting in a show the last weekend of August in Fredericton (Officers Square). We are hoping to have COPR in hand before the show so we can flagpole the day before it starts.

We are located in Fredericton at the moment :) lovely place, just terrible for jobs. Will keep in mind when we're planning our move to Halifax if we need any Info :). Good luck for activating your COPR! Must be so exciting to be done.

Woo woo, happy for you Scotmoose :D

Hey guys,

Just a little update to let you know my husband landed on July 15th in Montreal airport. Everything was pretty straightforward. After the first immigration officer, we were sent to the processing room. We gave all our supporting documents, waited for about 20-25 minutes and then were called by an officer.

The guy was quite pleased that we had already prepared form B4E (even if you don't HAVE to) and I'm almost certain it saved us a bit of time. He also had to do one for me as I had goods to process as a returning resident. Once he was done, he was given a little guide about Canada and sent to the Quebec office, right next to the federal one. There, the lady was super helpful - she explained how to get free French lesson, where to apply for a SIN number, medical insurance... even gave us a map of the Montreal metro!

One piece of info that may be useful for others: when we were done with the Federal agent, he wrote on our Landing cards that our B4 forms had been completed. When we went through customs to exit the airport, the agent took one look at our card, saw that the B4 had been filled and didn't ask any questions or look in our bags. However, the agent processing the family next to us (also landing) hadn't written anything on their landing cards. As soon as the customs agent saw this, she sent the family to another room to get their luggage inspected/checked against the list provided.

As I understand it, the agents don't always write on the landing cards to let customs agents know that the goods accompanying have been listed and this may encourage custom agents to check your luggage. It might be a coincidence, but I'd be curious to hear what other people's experiences have been.

Now, we're just waiting for the PR card in the mail.

^Thanks for this, I've added a link to the post to the BE wiki article on landing. :) Congrats and glad it went smoothly!

Hey,

I hope everyone is doing well here :)

I had received the Sponsors Approval back in March of this year 2015 and since than I haven't heard anything from CIC or LVO; should I be worried. When I log-in to ECAS, no updates there; it only says Application/Medical Received!

Also, I had given birth in Feb. 2015; in order to inform the LVO I sent them a Case Specific Enquiry in which I included a Letter detailing the changes in Personal Circumstances, a copy my daughter's birth certificate, passport, Family Information Form (on behalf of my husband), and a fews of my daughter's pictures taken at the time of birth to about when she was 4 months old. And at a later time I also organized this package and them it via courier!

Despite these efforts I haven't heard anything from them! So, should I/can I apply for notes to see what is happening with my Husbands application?

Also, I will be travelling to Pakistan soon, In Sha Allah to visit my husband; please, advise me on the things I can and should do to help my application.

Much appreciated :)
