There are some adverts displayed on the right hand side of the forum now. I generally visit the forum from my ohone, and I see the adverts so chances are you view via laptop/desktop PC and your browser (Ad Block) does not show the adverts for you.

Ahhhh I didn't think it would be ads. I have adblock on the laptop, and AdAway on my phone so I didn't see ads anywhere, just some wonky spacing. Thank goodness for ad blockers.

Hi! Not sure if this is the correct thread but thought you could assist. I'm a Canadian spouse sponsoring my British husband; we currently live in Bermuda so I'm not sure where our application will be forwarded to after mississauga - London or somewhere in the US. I sent the completed applications/docs on Friday and am gutted as I think we answered one of the questions wrong.

On the IMM 0008/Passport, it asks for country of issue for my husbands passport. His passport shows code: GBR and Authority IPS. It was issued from the Washington DC embassy (which is responsible for Bermuda) so we put down Country of Issue: United States of America, IPA, Washington DC. But now I think we should have put United Kingdom.

Just wondering how this will delay the processing. Will they simply email us to clarify our response on the form or will they want a whole new form completed?

Finally got a reply from London about my case "Please be advised that your application is currently under review by an Immigration Officer and is nearing the end of the Eligibility stage. From here, it will move on to the Security and Criminality stages"

Looks like I'm still a fair bit away from getting COPR :(

It's the fact it's been sitting as recommend pass for eligibility since Mar 2015. Also they said criminality hasn't started, but my last notes show its in progress and they did an rcmp check on me in January this year.

CIC's incompetence is beyond me...there is absolutely no accountability, and no performance standards...it seems the more incompetent you are, the more suitable you are for CIC; lol

All rants aside, I think you will hear good news soon from LVO...when they get seriously working on a file, it tends to move fast, and from the sounds of it, they are. All the best!

Yes, you should have put United Kingdom. To be honest, no one can say for sure what will happen, as it all comes down to the person that looks at your app. Worst case scenario, they may return the whole app. Or they may just ask for just a new IMM0008 or they may just ignore the mistake when they see his passport copy.

We have recommended pass from Mississauga last year when i first received my notes, since then t has showed in process on my notes but as i said they have looked into his police checks stated on notes . Honestly i can't make head or tales of it at the moment. The only thin i know for sure that it say medical passed "expired "

I'm just worried it's gonna be another 6 + months, will still be waiting and all my savings will be gone.

I didn't want to say but my MP received a response from London and they told him Jan/Feb of next year. That's what made us decide for my husband to come for a visit /stay at the end of August. Praying they are just giving some Bull s*** information.

Ok thanks for the reply. I guess it's just a matter of wait and see. Once I get an AOR (assuming I do as I know that doesn't always happen), is there any value to me send them a case specific inquiry at that point and advising them that the answer should have been United Kingdom.

I don't understand how that's possible when there's people that have already gone into progress when they applied after we did.

I wouldn't bother. It's a fairly small mistake, so I doubt there will be any issue.
