For the spreadsheet, what's your nearest city, and which office is processing your application? (The address of the office would have been on your sponsor approval letter.) Post that and then andrew or I will add you!

Nearest city is London, which is also where the application is being processed.

I don't understand how that's possible when there's people that have already gone into progress when they applied after we did.

That's why i'm hoping its wrong,but we can't be apart another 6 months.I think we have the same lazy officer .

So.... GMCS Notes (ordered last month) indicate that Eligibility is passed, Medicals are passed and extended to April 2016, Criminality is passed. ECASE has been In Progress since February 2015. Sound good right, well today I became completely excited when I received an email regarding that a decision on our application had been made, but I couldn't open the bloody pfd on my phone. Just got home and opened it... it was Sponsorship Approval !!.... Yup this is my second sponsorship approval on the same application, almost a year to the day apart. Apparently because we got married in January London sent the application back to Mississauga to be re-visited for sponsorship approval. Still being sent back to London to be processed. For the love of god, I hope it doesn't sit there for another year before they decide to continue processing it.

Hi! My wife had a strange email today from CIC - Missassauga. Our hopes were raised, only slightly, when we see the email from CIC. I have also decided not going to look every day, that will teach them. Anyway, I digress, the email was dated 13th Jul 2015 and was saying she had met the requirements for eligibility as a sponser. ? We already know this as she got the original email 18th September 2014 telling us this.

Any clues what this could be about? Anyone know, or is this another mysterious way of CIC?

Also my medicals will have now run out, but I aint telling them if they don't ask.

I know! Why bother looking at sponsorship again?! In the 10+ days (240 hours +) I have spend reading this form I have yet to come across such a procedure. Looks like our Security Checks have yet to be started, hopefully the visa officer snaps out of his/her funk. Think I will orders Notes again so I have something to anticipate for next month ;D

After not being able to look at the CIC site or this forum due to giving up hope everytime.
The morning before my wedding I got a request for an address update as CPC Ottawa needed to
send documents. (which they stated could only send to a North American address)
I logged into cic on the 6th of July to Decision Made not sure exactly what day it was made.
Site shows - We started processing your application on June 30, 2015.

I was in the US at the time and my previous visa had expired , returned to Toronto this morning
and had no problems at the boarder getting a new visitor visa
(so I guess I wasted $100 applying for the extension that still hasn't come through).
We went to our local MP the month previously to see if they could could help with the visa extension
or the family class visa. Not sure if that helped or it was a coincidence it all went quickly after that.

Best of luck to everyone in the system I know how difficult it is to be in the limbo and the strain it takes but
it will all be worth it.

Katathfx, we also got presumably the same email you did. Also got married in January, but we had
ours on Vancouver. The marriage certificate went back with me to U.K. 19th January. It was the copy before they issue the real one. It took them 3 months to email me they wanted original, which I sent express which they received April.

Oh crap! I only emailed a scanned copy of the marriage certificate (back in February) they haven't requested the original yet. That should be another 2 month delay

KATATHFX, we knew it was not the official certificate, it said so on the bottom, that it was not a legal document. We sent it anyway as the real one would take two weeks to get delivered to us. I was coming back to U.K. so just took the copy. The official cert arrived at our house day after I left, typical. We are just waiting, same as the other people. I am fortunate I can be here in Canada, others not so lucky. Am sure we will all get the news we hope for in the end, whenever that is. Take care everyone.

Hey guys, just a quick one for you. At what point do you receive your ECAS login info?

Right now I have no correspondence from CIC at all, I just sent my application off two months ago and Canada Post's tracking service confirmed the delivery on May 19th and thats it!

Please tell me this is normal and I'll receive my login info with the SA? Also, will me and the sponsor be notified by email or just one of us?
