I've been checking ecas daily since our sponsors application was approved in Mississauga purely out of habit and decided not to bother today.

Checked my email however and have got my PPR!!!!! :o :D

London have been processing my file since 8th September. The request is the PHEP letter or whatever it is and have given me the actual date when i must land by (June next year).

The wife (and I) are extremely happy and feel a weight of expectation has been lifted...

Am very jealous, but am so happy for you.

LOL thanks, but i'm posting the good news to show London are busy working away at our applications as quick as possible!

That's a few members on here now who have had quick processing times, so in the very least, London are free to continue work on somebody else's app after they have finished with ours!

Conratulations!! - I am very jealous too though!
Do you have any idea if you take your passport directly to the Visa office in London, will you get the visa immediately? Or does it make no difference?

Thanks.

I believe that if you drop the passport in in person, then it will be ready quicker, but it is not available immediately. The letter states that it will be 2 weeks before it is ready for collection if i drop it in and return with the receipt they will provide me.

I guess that if i post it, i will have to add delivery times either end to that of at least a week?

I will make the trip to London, as i cannot post it until monday anyway. They allow drop-ins on thursday's, so fingers crossed, 2 weeks from then i can go pick it up!

Thankyou, good to know the details.
Well I hope everything goes to plan from here on. I'll just keep waiting with my fingers and toes crossed!
Congrats again.

Things ALWAYS work out in the end. If you get an interview date, then that is the chance to give them the final extra information they need to approve you, if there is no interview required, it's just the waiting! Good luck!

Congrats! N just the mention i had my passport mailed n it only took a week to get back to me (ignoreing the sending to canada n back n forth with that)

I still have about 10 days to provide extra info, so we thought of even more 'proof' we can send, just gonna hammer them with every tiny little detail that we can think of!
Talking to everyone on here really makes me feel better though. I really was going out of my mind before I discovered this site. So thanks everyone!!!

Hey Guys,

Not rude....
My partner and I have applied in the conjugal category which we have now learned is the hardest to prove. Anyhow, they sent me a letter asking basically for more evidence of us being in a serious committed relationship for longer than the one year minimum. So now we are just bombarding them with any little detail we can think of. I also wrote a long letter from both of us about our relationship dynamics, what we do, who does the housework, cooking etc. Just about our day to day lives together.

I was asked to send more proof we had cohabited for one continuous year.. From March to November 09 we did not have much proof as we lived with my partners father therefore no joint utility bills/mortage etc. We just paid him a $100 each month to help out.. We had sent a letter from her father and other family members saying we lived there and receipts for items purchased together with both our names on at the same address... November 2009 to March 2010 we had sufficient proof as we had moved into our own home together..

I sent in more letters from family members and board receipts from her father..also mail in her name at the address and mail in my name at the address.. It has been 10 weeks since i sent in the extra documents and have not had any more news yet..
