So basically the same canned response that most others have gotten when they've chased up. It still looks to them like London is averaging 10ish months for processing, which jives with what the spreadsheet is saying. Fingers crossed for more good news...

I know that obviously not every person in the world is on the spread sheet but it makes even me feel better that they seemed to not send so many during July and August into London, fingers crossed for you they swiftly get through those months x

Interesting they contradict the main CIC website where it states that processing time is "sponsorship + posted visa office time".

Spreadsheet updated.

Thank you :)

ETA:

They did request a photo copy of the passports as well. This is the letter our consultant received. My SO shaved his beard off since his original photos, and his medical photos would have shown him beardless. Perhaps this is why they are requesting new ones. Or perhaps the original eight photos weren't great.

anyway:

Dear XXXXXX XXXX XXXXXX :
Your application has reached the final stage of processing. So that your permanent resident visa(s) can be issued, you must now submit the documents listed below. (Note that family members who are entitled to Canadian citizenship must travel on their Canadian passports.)

1. Two recent photographs of yourself and two recent photographs of each of your accompanying family members. The photos must meet the Photo Specifications as detailed in Appendix A.

2. The “Updated Information Chart” in Appendix B, fully completed for you and each accompanying family member.

3. A photocopy of the photo and personal information pages of your passport and of the passport(s) of your accompanying spouse and dependent children to our office in London.

Submit the documents within 30 days of the date of this correspondence according to the instructions in Appendix C. Please also include a copy of this correspondence with your submission. All documents for you and your accompanying family members must be submitted together in one package.

Requesting this stuff be sent to London is a bit odd isn't it? If Mississauga has had the paperwork all along?

(I see now that there is an option to send to Ottawa if you are currently residing in Canada. My apologies.)

Are you sure that the instructions on where to submit the paperwork didn't include a line to say that if you are going to be in Canada for 3+ months to submit to Ottawa? That's the standard line with that request...

Yes,

Once I read through the entire letter there is a subsection at the bottom indicating this. (on page four I believe) I confirmed with the consulting office that they will be sending to Ottawa.

Another Tuesday gone and still no DM for anyone, seriously WTF

The "updating on a Tuesday" thing is a myth from years ago. The number of people who get updates on every other day of the week, including Saturday, should be an indication that the Tuesday thing is bollocks. :)

Glad to see your still kicking about LOL I'm waiting for you to get Dm . It was a bank holiday yesterday, maybe we will hear some news tomorrow.

Yup, still here! I'm off to Canada in a couple of weeks so I was really hoping for a decision by then. There's still a ton of May and early June on the spreadsheet before me. Any movement for you?

In one of my more obsessive moments I actually did an analysis of the spreadsheet to see which days get most activity ::)

From what I recall it was fairly evenly distributed, a couple of week days slightly less active that the others, but not particularly significant.

Well.... have to do something to pass the time....

No nothing on this end .
