I am really worried as I have not heard anything back since receiving my AOR
It still says in process on the website but on the spreadsheet I see there have been people who applied even a month after me who has got their approval

I'm in the same position, with people after me getting their approval! Hopefully we will both hear this week!

A little update from us. We looked into booking my husband's medical in London UK but the Doctor's office will not make an appointment until we've receive an official request for a medical exam. They explained that medicals are either booked before the application is sent or upon formal request.
This seems odd to me but it does appear many wait for the medical request. Hopefully it will not slow the process.

Our application is still only marked as "Application Received" by the Ottawa on Oct 3, 2014. There has been no news since then.

No, you should really do the medical examination upfront and submit proof the medical examination has been done along with your application. There is a reason that it's in the checklist. I would call/go back and show them the checklist and the Sponsorship guide (3999 or 3900... I can't remember which one now) and let them know that the medical examination is requested to be done prior to the submission of your application.

IF that doctor in London is being a pain, then try another one. You have to submit the medical up front. IT's in your best interests to go book yourself an appt ASAP. We went here - http://www.knightsbridge-doctors.com/ - though the website doesn't seem to be working right now. Address is 15 Basil Mansions, just outside Knightsbridge Station, phone +44 20 7584 6718.

Hi guys.. I recently sent my documents to Lambeth, Canada House London..
They are received by person named "HALOUANE M".. Did any one heard this name before in delivery of documents???
plz reply

What did you send to Lambeth? I'm confused by that part. Canada House is in Trafalgar Square, nowhere near Lambeth.

Hi everyone!

Wondering if I could get added to the timeline, is this the right place? Pretty new to this site/forums in general...

Our common-law application was recieved by Mississauga on 12th March 2015, though we never got an official CIC AOR, just Canada Post's. I'm the principal applicant and I'm living in London, UK now. No decision on stage 1 as of yet.

Good luck to everyone out there, it's nice to finally find somewhere full of people in our position :)

I have sent my PCC and 3 updated Forms.. Asked by LVO.. It has been more than year i applied my case.. now its In Process.. the full address was:

IMMIGRATION & MEDICAL SERVICES DIVI
HIGH COMMISSION OF CANADA CANADA HOUSE
TRAFALGAR SQUARE LONDON
SQUARE, SW1Y 5BJ
GB

It has been received by "HALOUANE M".. jus wana conform if anybody else heard this name before??

Okay, so Trafalgar Square is in the City of Westminster, not Lambeth, so that was confusing.

As for the name, who knows. There are hundreds of people who work at CIC, it's just whoever happens to be signing for mail that day. Seriously, stop stressing about it. YOu know it arrived there, that's that.

Actually my DHL tracker showed delivered at Lambeth-Square-UK. That made me confused as well. But you cleared my doubt thank you.

Cheers!!

Sorry for the silly questions. I changed my hubby's address online, and also attached extension of his work permit in Denmark. Pakistani nationals who got married in Pakistan are being asked to send Urdu copy of the marriage certificate and we had only sent in English. So through online, I uploaded both those documents along with the change of address.

We got an email back from London confirming the change in address ONLY. Should I assume the marriage certificate and the work permit would've been added to file?

You can email back and ask for clarification, but you might not get any response. You can try, though!

thanks, one thing i would correct is i don't think my wife (PA) is non-visa exempt as she holds indian passport.

She is non visa-exempt, as she requires a visa to enter Canada.

Also, andrew-brit, since our timelines are pretty close to identical, I was wondering if you (or anyone else) have any thoughts on what happens if the COPR comes more than a year after medicals were done. We are one of the unlucky ones who had our application sent to London, and since my partner did his medical exam in July 2014 so it could be ready for our August 10th submission, there's a very good chance London may not process our file until after his medicals have "expired." Thoughts?

If the processing goes past the medical expiry, CIC can either extend it or ask for another one. If the app is processed shortly before medical expiry, they can either ask if he can land by that point, extend it or ask for another one. They commonly give extensions.

Direct the office to this site http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp, where it states upfront medicals can be done. If they still refuse, let them know that you will be reporting them to CIC for not complying with the requirements of a Panel Physician.
