Good morning, I wonder if someone could add me to the spreadsheet?

Current location on application was Liverpool, UK however I sent an email today asking them to update my address to Ottawa (where I've been living with my wife) I figure if I put an address in Canada, any further information they may need will be a lot quicker than them requesting it through London?

Hi folks. Just a heads up: here's my info and dates and stuff...my info (currently in the spreadsheet) was inputted incorrectly. If somebody could correct it that'd be great! Also, since sending the application, I've moved to Ottawa and informed CIC of my new address. They phoned me to acknowledge this new address on April 26th.

Just a quick question. Should the PA be able to get on ECAS or are we still waiting for "that" email? Thought we would have heard something about the file arriving in London but have come to find there is not such a notification.

If you have received Sponsor Approval letter, then you can use the File Number to long on to ECAS. The number is on the letter and starts with an F

The sponsor can see both stages of the application. The PA can only see the second stage. if you're having trouble logging in, check out the FAQ in my signature as there are a few possible options/solutions listed in there. It's in the section on ECAS.

London does not issue an acknowledgement of receipt.

In the sponsor approval document you received underneath the date there is a unique client identifier (UCI). This is the UCI for the sponsor as they are one who applies for sponsor approval. You can use this UCI along with the details of the sponsor on the ECAS web page to check the status of both applications.

The principal applicant has a UCI too, but if the PA have never applied for a visa from CIC then you will not have a UCI until CIC contacts you in any way, which could be when they send you your COPR. Checking ECAS with the PA's details only shows the status of their application.

So in short use the sponsor's UCI as it gives you the status of both applications.

Also, when I received sponsor approval it took 9 days to get from Mississauga to London. I know this from a set of GCMS notes I ordered.

Thanks! we got ours last week - about a month after we applied.

Once I received my CSQ, I just sent CPC Mississauga a scanned copy of the CSQ and the undertaking by email. I also asked them to inform me asap if the original document is required. Now I just wait I suppose! Did you send over the original to your visa office?

Yes, we received an "additional documents" request about 10 days ago asking for the CSQ, confirmation of our postal address and additional proof of my intent to return to Canada. Hopefully, shouldn't be too long now!
