Can anyone confirm whether or not we need to send our original Marriage Certificate or a copy will suffice?

A photo copy will do. If it is not in English or French then you must send a notarized certificate ,translated with a copy of the original .

hello.

just curious, did you receive your COPR yet? i checked the spreadhseet and it shows that your decision made on 5th jan but you havnt receive your COPR yet? its strange only 2 apps from feb decision made have received the COPR, mine is been almost 3 weeks!!!

I'm still waiting for my COPR to arrive ( Received DM around March 6th) and I think BritishBob is still waiting also.
I spoke to CIC on Friday to see if they have an update and they said mine was in line to print, but they couldn't tell me how many people were also waiting. They said I should expect 3 weeks or so.
If I order the GCMS notes do they comment on the COPR expected delivery date?

WTF dude, you had DM on 7-Mar and you are already chasing them up?? It's not as simple as just "hit print". That's like wondering why your passport takes so long to get renewed. It's a proper official government document, not a letter that they can just pop in the post. I don't know the process, but it's likely it goes to a separate department for final processing which includes them attaching your photo and other personal info to the document before it gets sent out. It would be the same department that issues ALL COPR documents and likely other official gov't correspondence docs - of which there are TONS going out right now between Express Entry and IEC and Parental Sponsorship routes.

This is why they say to allow 6-8 weeks to receive your COPR in the post.

Calm down already, yeesh!! :)

Did you get any requests for copies of your passport or anything? Mine just changed to DM about a week ago and haven't had any communication from them.. is there any way of finding out what the decision is without waiting another 8 weeks for *probably* COPR in the post? (I know it's probably approved since I didn't get any more requests, but I'm still holding out to celebrate)

Yes I had a request at the beginning of last week for a copy of my info page of my passport, an updated info sheet and 2 pictures for my COPR letter. I mailed it the same day I had the request with express delivery so it was in Ottawa wednesday morning.

Mine is the same, I had contacted them earlier because my address was originally wrong on ECAS (it just randomly said "Vancouver, British Columbia" where I've never lived) as my home address, and was assured that they had my correct address on file (and quoted the country) - so I'm assuming it's fine.

Hi all

Sent a case specific email to London informing them that my medicals and police clearance forms were completed with maiden name before I had changed to married name. Just got email back saying they cant find upfront medicals or police clearance forms. I mean really. They are asking for copy of medicals and police clearance. :(

andyb2404 - just to manage your expectations. I sent all my updated info, photos etc. to Ottawa and it was received on 26th Feb and I am still waiting on the letter to be sent out.

I'm hoping I will receive mine this week, so yours will potentially still be another couple of weeks after that??

Boo, that sucks, but at least it's not the end of the world. Send the copies off and hopefully they get it all linked up correctly. Good on you for flagging the change! :)
