dude trust me call them!!! 1613 944 4000 the call centre agent will press complete button for you!!

WTF?! Are you serious?! No the call centre agent will not press a "complete" button for yoU! This is TERRIBLE advice!!!!!!!!!! The call centre agent is NOT an immigration agent, and has no authority to do anything of the sort. This is complete bollocks, I'm actually angry right now, because people insist on giving daft advice.

CanadianinUK - do NOT listen to this, this is awful, awful advice. You've been In process for awhile, but as you can see, others have been In Process for wahile as well. Some people go quickly, others take longer. Sit on it a few more weeks - you're still well wtihin processing times, so just sit tight.

Can you confirm when your application was received in Mississauga? 25th November seems most likely but your second line says 17/02/2015.

Also your visa office was most likely Mississauga based on the quick decision made, it will say on your sponsor approval letter/e-mail. Please confirm.

Hi,
It was received by mail on November 25th. On Feb 17th they notified us by email that they opened it and had started the process.
We haven't received the sponsor approval letter/email yet, I will notify you when we get it.
Thanks.

Okay, spreadsheet updated with your in process date. Thanks.

Hi,
As I said before London office asked me if I am living in Iran after I changed my address. I told them that I am temporary in Iran, and I would go back to Sweden if the processing of my application will take long. This is their answer:

"
You've already informed us that you've moved back to Iran from Sweden to wait out the remainder of the processing time. As we are not the responsible visa office for those resident in Iran, your visa would be printed by the office in Ankara, Turkey.
However, if you are now informing us that you're returning to Sweden then our Ankara office cannot print your visa.
Please clarify how long you will be spending in Iran and when you intend to return fully to Sweden so that we can offer accurate information on your file.
"

Does that mean if I remain in Iran, they will transfer the file to Turkey and extend the processing time or Ankara office will only print the visa?

So CIC can choose to process an outland application EITHER in the office where the PA is resident, or in the office where the PA is a citizen.

If you are no longer living in Sweden, then London has no jurisdiction to process your application, and your file will be transferred to Ankara. London cannot continue to process your application if you stay in Iran because you are neither a citizen nor resident of any of the countries that the London office serves.

If you are going to be returning to Sweden, then London has jurisdiction to continue to process your application, since London processes applications for Swedish residents.

So you need to decide where you're going to live, and CIC will keep or transfer the file in line with your decision.

Thanks a lot SchnookoLoly! I am just curious that how they know where an applicant is really living if she/he does not report the address change? People may not change their address because of extension of processing time.

Which is fine and dandy but then what do you plan to do when it comes time to issue your COPR? As you are visa-exempt you will have to send CIC your passport, and they will see from that where you are - at a minimum they can see that the passport was sent from Iran. So unless you move back to Sweden just before you send your passport... I suppose it COULD be possible, but I would really not suggest trying to lie or deceive CIC as you can have your PR revoked, even after it's been granted, for misrepresentation.

AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!
When are London going to send out decisions for February?? The wait is killing me!
17 months to process my case and now another month just waiting for COPR or refusal, its driving me insane!

Can someone update the spreadsheet.
Just received SA, and my file is being kept in Mississauga.

Updated, thanks.

Hey folks. Anyone know where one can find stats/info on the average time it takes for outland applicants who are British citizens to receive a decision? Trying to make a choice between the two options.

Check one line up and check out andrew-brit at the bottom you will see the link to the spreadsheet

Seriously, reading even 3 posts on this thread directs you straight to the spreadsheet... Come on. Do a BIT of your item research, we aren't your monkeys!

I'm new on this sub topic (only been on CEC before) fairly new to using this forum and it's in tiny, tiny writing. Cut me some slack.
