Hey all, probably another annoying question...

My application is coming up on 88 days since it has been received. (Nov 22nd,2014.) We too have had no AOR yet (although I'm not expecting anything till after Stage One.) Looking at the spreadsheet and CIC's processing time, it should be within the next 2 weeks (I hope) that our application gets worked on for Stage One. Currently, if I check online with my IMM5401 and our details we get an error saying that this information can't be found. I'm assuming that until Stage One is complete, we won't be able to check our status online? I'm also slightly concerned because the IMM5401 I was emailed doesn't have any of my details filled out except my name, is this normal? There is no address or anything.

Thanks!

Would you like to be added to the spreadsheet? If so please provide the following info:

-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!

Spreadsheet link is in my signature.

I added you to the spreadsheet. The principal applicant is non-visa exempt (meaning they need a visa to enter Canada).

Just confirming that the principal applicant had the medical after they submitted the application?

Hi

From my own experience searching online with my IMM5401 number also errored out with both the sponsor and principal applicant details. Mine has actually never worked with that number and according to CIC call centre this is a fairly common problem. Unfortunately until you get your UCI when stage 1 approval is sent there is no way to even verify online that they have your application. So I had no way to check until my stage 1 processing deadline had passed. See my post a couple above for a number to try if you still have no joy when your processing deadline has passed.

Im afraid I do not know about the details on your IMM5401, hopefully someone else will.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping that all will go smoothly and we should get a UCI soon after Stage One goes through, providing the IMM5401 doesn't have any issues. I guess I'll wait a month after the deadline and if I hear nothing I'll have to get on the phone!

Cheers

Edit: Just checked and apparently they are working on applications from Nov 25th now. In theory, should mine have been processed if it was received on Nov 22nd? Would they email me to confirm Stage One or send out regular mail?

Thanks!

Hi Andrew,
Yes non-visa exempt, he always needs a visa to come and see me.

And we submitted our medical when we sent in the application, we were under the impression it would help speed things along...We'll see :/
The med examination was done Oct 28, 2014, about a month before we submitted the application.
Thanks again!

Ah that makes more sense, in your post with your timeline you had 28/12/2014 for your medical. Updated!

My response was by email but it didn't turn up at all until I chased it and it was resent.

If your deadline has passed the call centre will be able to help you now. You can also send a case specific enquiry to Mississauga office for an update.

Hope this helps.

It looks like Stage 1 processing times are speeding up... Processing apps from late November and I am early December, good luck to everyone patiently waiting!!

Hey Smily_S

Have you sent out the photos requested by LVO already and have they been delivered to Canada House at Trafalgar square. If delivered who signed off for the delivery. I am wondering because We sent the photos as requested and says delivered but I haven't heard anything or acknowledgement from LVO regarding delivery. Thanks

I doubt very much if you will hear anything from London unless they want something from you. London don't send out AOR

So i would just like a bit more information on something specific. Both my fiancee and i are planning on travelling if i dont get my working holiday visa this year to New Zealand together (in September) or maybe be in the UK. She is a resident of Canada and always has been. My question is that we are planning on getting married around January time, and so would we be able to start applying for Outland even though we are both in New Zealand or will she have to be in Canada for the start of it?

Thankyou for your time

As your Fiancee is a citizen, she doesn't need to be in Canada when you submit your application and during processing. Once you're married you can apply, but as you will both will be in New Zealand you will have to show proof of intention to return to Canada once you get your PR.

Great work here - thanks.

The SA letter, after the met the requirements blur, reads "the Applicaion for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been retained for further processing at CPC Mississauga"
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had: 19/01/2015 - request for Australian Police check (received in Mississauga 11/02/15)
