You only had DM 3 weeks ago, CIC won't consider COPR lost until at least 6 weeks passes. I suggest you renew your visitor status online pronto.

Good to know. Wasn't sure how long had to pass for CIC to care. I'm working currently on implied status as I applied to extend my permit. It could get extended but I worried it won't be. Will have to wait and see what they do. Thanks for the advice on this.

Ah ok. It's not likely that you'll hear anything from them, they won't verify that they have your application at all. That's why it's suggested you send it tracked, as tracking is the only way you know it gets there for sure.

Done! Arrived Thursday of last week so that'd be 1 calendar week tomorrow. That's how I knew. (Thanks Stefanie on the CIC reception desk if you ever read this!)

I've added you to the spreadsheet, which is linked in my signature. I'm just missing your location (Column N), and whether you applied as Married or Common-Law.

I was going to do that at some point but thanks for doing it for me! I'll update now. Thanks for 'helping' me get that done

I got an email from cic this morning where they are asking for client information - Height and eye colour for principle applicant.

Has anyone else had this request? I'm a bit confused if Im suppose to send in a form or if I can just write them an email with the info.....

they need this information for your COPR and subsequently your pr card. you don't need to send in a form, just reply to the email sent, and make sure to identify your UCI #(if you have one), and the file number. considering you got your RPRF request not so long ago, it sounds like they are getting your visa ready.

Congratulations, is the interview going to be at Mississauga? Also your profile information (underneath your forum name) says London but the spreadsheet says Mississauga, I presume the spreadsheet is correct?

Has anyone had any joy calling about the status of their COPR? I'm very close to the end of my implied status and was hoping it would have arrived by now. I know some people have waited longer on the spreadsheet but it would be nice to know if it has been sent, etc.. Thanks!

It wouldn't hurt to send a case specific enquiry explaining that your status is close to expiry and asking when the COPR was actually mailed out.

CIC has "forgotten" to send out a few COPRs before.

Honestly, I'm not sure about the baby. If it were me I'd probably leave the baby with grandparents or a family member or a sitter... if you are both in the interview room it could be a bit of an interruption. It might just make things simpler and less stressful... but honestly, I don't know for sure. That's just what I would do.

No proof of funds necessary. You're reading too much into the "in Canada" part.

Thanks Graihn for the advice. If I could ask one more question:

Basically my wife and kids (all Canadian) will be returning to Canada mid-December and staying thereafter. I will be landing at this time but will have to return to UK a week later for work commitments. I will be returning to Canada permanently end of January.

My question is: Am I able to leave Canada whilst my permanent residence card is being processed? My wife will be living in Canada and is able to receive it and I will be travelling using my British passport.
