Hi all,

can someone update the spreadsheet , should have done this ages ago

Additional info requested 15/04/2014
Explanation of no live trace on police certificate

sent 08/05/2014

Thanks

Updated - They asked you why your PC said no live trace? Is that not what they are supposed to say? I am sure that is what my husband's said. Seems weird to me they would ask you to explain a clean PC.

Am I misreading something?

Application received today 08/19/2014. Medicals done 08/11/2014. Applying through the London office and hoping to move to Montreal as soon as possible!

Thank you

Hi! Welcome to the beginning of the application process.

Could you please let me know if this application is a married or common law application? As well, what city you will be expecting your COPR to arrive. We are now tracking this information for 2014 applications.

I thought that too becki but then I checked my photocopy of mine

It says no trace, so maybe the 'live' part is what needed explaining

Hello,

I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my Swedish husband. We applied outside of Canada: I have been approved as a sponsor and the application is now in London, UK. Is it possible to be added to the spreadsheet?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kYJ0Xo_jHLeArkCVeicZyqIE8YLpnZqVJlFrnpmKMx0/edit#gid=396125530

Quick question - when you look up processing times by office, the London UK says 11 months. I know this is a general guideline - but is the 11 months from when the whole application was received in Canada or when the application was received in the UK?

Thnaks.

Was your stage 1 approval done on July 29? Just want to clarify. Please check the spreadsheet for accuracy

I see Chevy already answered your other question.

Welcome

Hello!

I am a Canadian citizen, my partner is Australian and we are currently living in the UK where I'm doing my Masters in Law. We are almost ready to send our application off to Mississauga (just need to get his photos done!). I'm super sick of organizing paperwork at this point and praying everything goes smoothly!

This forum has been so great in answering so many of my questions! Its so nice to see so many people in our same situation :)

I know this has more than likely been addressed somewhere but I'm having trouble finding it!

If my partner's PR visa gets approved how long will we have to enter Canada? Will we have until his medical results expire mid August 2015 OR if the application is done quickly will they give us a tighter time frame for example something like 60 days after the visa is approved to enter?

Just wondering because I'm in school until next summer and would not be ready to leave the UK until July at the earliest. It would be such a pain and a tight budget squeeze if he had to go land and come back to the UK!

Any advice/clarification would be great! Thanks

I have not heard of any case where someone date to land was BEFORE their medical results expired. Having said that, this is the CIC and almost anything seems to be possible with them.

Good luck with your application

Not at all , there is a difference no live trace means that there is something on you record but it is not deemed as revelant to show on your records, this could be because it has been stepped down. In my case it was because of a caution. In my original application there is a section where i should have have stated thati had been arrested but I misunderstood it to mean convicted so i ticked No on the form which i later found out that i should have said yes. I consulted a lawyer and he said that nothing can be done now but to hope and pray that they dont take it as misrepresantation..

Yes, our application is a married one. I'm actually not sure which city I expect it to arrive. I'm assuming London (our home), or will they ask us to provide a Canadian address (in Montreal)?

Thank you!

They will send it to the mailing address that you gave them for the applicant

How long is a piece of string?!

Unfortunately no one can tell you how long you have to wait, it could be days, weeks or months

Just be patient, hopefully you will hear something soon
