Added. Let us know any updates that you have on your file. Good luck :)

A question just popped into my head seconds ago: Should they request his passport, how long would it take to get it back afterward?

You said your husband is British right? They don't request passports from visa exempt countries. How much did you pay your lawyer? I would have thought that a lawyer being paid would have provided their clients with app the details of how the program works and what to expect.

He is, I was basing the question off of the spreadsheet having fairly few visa exempt people on it and the fact I was unaware that the UK was wholly visa exempt. I had suspected it was on a case by case situation not as a whole. I chose not to ask my lawyers since it's after 3pm on a Friday, the likelihood of them responding before these forums would be remote at best. Decided asking you lot would be quicker :P

Thanks again though, you've helped fill in some blank spots for me. If you're ever in southern Ontario (south of the GTA that is), I may owe you a beer.

No beer required :-). I have read many circumstances where people have been taken advantage of by paying companies to help process application and lawyers who seem to either not know or not care enough. London processes applications from other non-visa exempt countries.

I landed yesterday :D

We received our AOR June 5th, and as of today 19-June, I still haven't received SA. I had called CIC and they mentioned that it's in process and that there aren't any problems. Anybody with any insight as to why the huge delay? I've noticed for pretty much everyone that when they get their AOR, they receive SA the day of or a few days after. It has now been 2 weeks! They are already working on applications past april 11th, which is the date they received our application in Mississauga.

I have asked this question in the April outland thread, but wanted to ask here for more insight. People are saying don't worry, but this situation seems strange. It's already been 70 days, and no SA yet. Yet, CIC has not told us anything

Have you heard anything?
