Hi folks,
If London office schedule an interview and one can not attend the interview for any reason, is it possible to reschedule the interview?
I am going to plan a trip which I do not like to cancel later!

Thank you!

I remember I had the same concern being in school with 2 kids but was told that in the last year and a bit there has only been one person on this forum called for an interview so chances are very low. I believe you get a few weeks to a months notice if needed and I think it would have to be pretty extraordinary circumstances to change it.

Thank you Becki,
I guess I should book a refundable flight :)

I don't understand what you mean. Sorry.

I was answering your question not aware you were not visa exempt

Just received my husbands COPR after so many months of waiting and they messed it up by putting the wrong DOB for the sponser that's me! So pist!!! First they take forever to process one simple application and now they do this.

Anyone know if my husband can get it corrected at the port of entry? I want him to come to Canada ASAP! ??? It's been too long!

& if someone can update the spreadsheet. Thank you

Awesome news congratulations. Annoying about the mistake though, I don't have any advice sorry.

Surely i'm next now, officially the slowest on the spreadsheet. I was supposed to receive my GCMS notes today as it has been 30 days to the day, however they don't even seem to be able to get those to me in time!!!!!

Thank you!!! This process has taken too long. We are so relieved! :)

Good luck! Hope you are next!

try and call CIC and ask, to confirm that it can be changed at the port of entry. For some details on the COPR, it can be done, for others, the COPR itself needs to be re-issued, and I'm not sure about the DOB.
Good luck,

Can you tell me what the Issued date on your COPR is. I will use that as Decision Made date. CONGRATULATIONS!

You surely must be next. CIC seems to have come to an almost virtual dead stop this month. We ordered our GCMS notes April 16, not realizing a decision was made the next day. I still thought it would be interesting to read them so I was anticipating them to arrive May 17 as that is the pattern the rest of the ones I ordered arrived in. I did not receive them until May 22. They must be backed up everywhere. Does your ECAS even say in process yet?

Nope still application received.

I saw the permanent residency card wait is currently 85 days. Will have to wait to land after a trip late July/August anyway with a wait that long. Another stupid process. I guess I could drive to Seattle and fly from there but don't really want to pay for 3 weeks airport parking. I would have to drive to Seattle and fly back to Vancouver before flying to London. Ridiculous!!!!

It sure can be a frustrating process! But let me tell you, once it finally comes it is like you almost forget all about it. I can't wait until I get to turn you green on the spreadsheet :D

Because you're visa-exempt, you don't need the card to go back into the country. So if you live close to a border, Seattle/Vancouver it seems, you can drive to the border, flagpole and complete the immigration process at a land border. From Vancouver, in total it could take you less than 3h ( drive to the border, go through immigration and go back to Vancouver). Once that's completed, it starts the process for your PR card to arrive, but you don't need it right away. You can get a SIN with the signed copy of COPR, immediately, and you can go out of the country without any issue. you don't have to link a departure with your PR process, if you can do it earlier at a land border.
