We had decision made April 17 and still no COPR.

Case specific enquiry no reply.

I am really starting to worry.
It would be sent to whatever mailing address you gave them. You can ask your MP to inquire as well.

Yes, ours is coming to Canada which I understand will take longer. I was only enquiring on where sookes was mailed too as a comparison.

MP lady called me back and said London said they mailed it on the 17th but they would not investigate if it is missing until 6 weeks has passed. :-( my husbands employer has told him if he doesn't have it by Monday they won't be able to hold his job any longer

Becki , sooke said she bought a house in spook and in one of her comments she said she she got it in the mail . I'm thinking she changed the address to Canada . Don't worry at least you know you have it maybe not in hand but you have it . :)

Post mark says April 24 in london, received May 5th in sooke post office so hat's 11 days.

It is a registered item so check all your mail for a small card from the local mail office as you will have to go sign for it

Hope it shows soon, let us know

That sucks and it's definitely not standard. My partner's COPR arrived on Vancouver Island 8 days after DM.

Updated. Please do not 'bump' posts like this in the future, updaters do this on a voluntary basis, and there is actually no spot to update this information anyways. :)

Ok but the RPRF receipt is to be sent in, so it is an extra document requested.

Statutory declarations and other annoying things

Hi Everybody,

I'm being sponsored by my common-law partner and we're currently scrambling to get all our documents together.

having spoken to CIC yesterday they said a Common-law declaration is not required, only if you have a co-signer who is sponsoring(?). Anyway, reading a few forums it sounds like most people end up having to send the declaration anyway, but it varies by visa office. Does anybody have any insight into whether we should send one in from the start?

I was also told on the phone yesterday that statutory declarations did not need to be notarized...but it seems that by definition a statutory declaration is a notarized statement...so I'm guessing we should get 2 or more of our references signed in presence of an official?

If anyone has any useful insights or experience that would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi

You don't need the Common-law declaration. Very few people are requested to send it later and only if they don't have solid evidence of a common-law relationship.

Definition of a Statutory Declaration is a statement sworn before a person authorized to administer oaths. This is usually a lawyer or a notary public. So yeah, it's pretty much a notarized statement. You will need 2 such Stat Decs from family members or friends.

NO :-( Thank you for asking. My husband's employer told him with regret they could not wait any longer and they hired someone for his position.

I thought once we saw decision made it would all be over and we could get on with our lives. I had no idea this could happen.

Hi guys.

I hope you're all well.

I'm landing in Toronto next month with my CoPR under family class. I'm trying to be as prepared as possible for the landing interview.

Would anyone have any pointers that could help me? Like what questions ill be asked etc?

Thanks as always.
