Ok. I have seen some cases though where there ask for the RPRF when they are ready to issue it. I just want some people to shed some light on this matter.

Thanks

Wait a minute . I have already paid for them to process my application. They wouldn't ask for the RPRF unless they would grant a visa. Seems silly
You can either pay it upfront (advisable) or defer this payment until requested (potentially delaying the application). I guess that you deferred. it's request is a good sign "normally".

Ok Zardoz! Thanks

I am just surprised that they asked for it now as I thought they wouldn't open my app till July , right?

It's impossible to tell with London. They are far from consistent in their processing. Maybe you have been "fast-tracked"? Some people get dealt with very quickly, especially if it's an "open and shut case".

Today it has been exactly 190 days since our application was sent off. I think I have become obsessed with the spreadsheet as I check it like 3 times a day!
Hopefully not to long right now..

Hi Everyone,

Today is my first visit to this thread. Looks like people have good info. about London visa office.

My application got transferred to London from Islamabad after two years of "BS" time waste at Islamabad.

My second medical is expiring in May-2014 (next month). I was expecting PPR from Islamabad for Last 11 months.

Can someone tell me what London will do to my application. Are they going to extend my medical and send PPR? Sad

I very much upset and frustrated due to CIC time waste game of moving files here and there Angry.

I came to know from MP that file is in London and not sure exact date it got transferred.

Please advise what London will do now...........!!!!!!! Cry

See timeline on left.

Hi everyone.

We are back from disneyland and I was so sure we would come home to a delivery notice in the mailbox for the COPR.

But we didn't... :-(

It is 2 weeks today since decision made.

Another member from Canadian visa got a decision made the same day, and is in England. They received their COPR April 25, but made note that it was only mailed April 24. So I am assuming mine was probably mailed around he same time.

Should I give it another week or send them a case specific message?

(PS we are in Canada. In Alberta)

Hi Becki!

How was your trip to disneyland? Hope you had a fun time :)

I would give it another week for it to get to Alberta, it generally takes 2 -3 weeks for post to be delivered from the UK to Alberta.

Our COPR got to Calgary in 11 days from when it was sent, but we have had post take a lot longer to get here from the UK before. Ours also was sent a few days after DM, so we were getting nervous too before it arrived. I would give it another week just incase, and then send a case specific inquiry.
Hopefully it arrives soon!!

Hey folks. I was asked to pay the RPRF yesterday, but it stated in the email "Please advise your sponsor to pay this fee in Canada ($490 Cdn). This payment cannot be accepted in the UK. It must be paid in Canada in accordance with the instructions in the sponsorship kit. The receipt should be sent to CPC-Mississauga."

We have an outside Canada application, of course, but they want us to pay it in Canada. What does it matter if it is paid online? And do I choose :
1. RPRF - Paying from inside Canada
or
2. RPRF - Paying from outside Canada
?

Also, what is a sponsorship kit?

They mean the stuff at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp where it tells you how to make the fee payments, right at the bottom of the page. You must have been through this already to actually submit the application in the first place. They just want the top-up fee now...

Ok, the sponsorship kit thing just threw me off. Also, I trust my advice I give to others, but I cannot trust my own judgment in my case, so I ask for others advice :P

Paid and will be sent off! Hopefully I am one of the "lucky ones", but I highly doubt it. Seems odd though that they want the payment to start processing when the initial payment of $475 was for the processing....
