Congrats!
Your timeframe worries me a bit in case I would get an interview. IF I have to go for an interview it would probably be in July or August, and I have scheduled a visit in Canada from July 1st till the 27th. On top of that, after that I am leaving for an IT security course in Chicago that will last three weeks, which is not re-scheduleable (is that a word?). Also, I hear you can't re-schedule interviews.........

Cause if I get an interview, it looks like it would be there in July-August, where I am very tied up in Canada and later on Chicago. And I hear interviews can't be re-scheduled. Anyways, just fretting, really could have replied to anybody's post saying this.

Anyway, Congrats!!

Thanks Zardoz that makes sense given what is said on the application forms....I didnt read it in much detail as it didnt apply to us. I guess people still try and dupe the system.

Hello everybody,

So I thought I would share my experience with everyone.

I received my CoPR a few months ago and flew out this month and back into the country a couple of days ago. I came back into Canada via Vancouver airport. Walked up to the customs agent with my document and passport. He advised me to go to the officer at the exit to complete the PR process. Another officer just asked me basic questions such as have I been married before, have I been denied entry, if I had a run in with the law etc etc. He took my passport, my wife's passport and my CoPR and went to the back. Ten minutes passed and then he came out advising all was good and I was good to go! ;D

I asked if I could apply for my SIN at the airport but he advised they don't have the facility to do that there and I should go to my nearest Service Canada Office.

All in all it was a pleasant experience, no surprises and no moments of panicky poo.

I wasn't congratulated or welcomed to Canada but oh well, never mind, I'm just happy to be here with my wife!

So I thought I would share my experience and would be happy to help anyone who needs any help/advice.

I'm not sure if you do but in my case my spouse was with me. But they did take her and my passport to review with my docs whilst we were waiting.

Also I visited a Service Canada centre today to obtain my SIN number, pretty straightforward process. They just wanted to see my CoPR and my passport.

When I landed, my spouse was 5000km away back in the UK. This was through YYZ.

Ok. So here is the deal. I was requested additional documents by the LVO. What it is is e right of permanent residence fee. My confusion is I thought this was usually requested by the end of processing my application? I applied in January. This is good news, right?

The fee is $490. This must be paid before CIC issues the COPR. I guess they want the fee paid before starting to process your PR application. Doesn't mean they are ready to issue your COPR now but most likely ready to start processing.

Ok. I have seen some cases though where there ask for the RPRF when they are ready to issue it. I just want some people to shed some light on this matter.

Thanks

Wait a minute . I have already paid for them to process my application. They wouldn't ask for the RPRF unless they would grant a visa. Seems silly

Looking at London VO spreadsheet 2013 tab, those that did not pay the RPRF at the time of submitting the application were requested to pay the fee a few months after sponsorship approval but got their COPRs within 'normal' processing times.
