Also, I didn't know air transat and thomas cook were linked!
They certainly were but looking now, it seems that Air Transat may now be in bed with Westjet and Virgin Atlantic (instead?). TC really were the airline NOT to fly with. British Airways are none too special these days either.

Flew premium economy with BA on the last trip over. Worth every penny. Except it was a free upgrade :)

I keep having anxiety attacks about my application.
Me and my husband had a relationship of only months before we got married, although we have known each other our whole lives - played with eachother as kids then lost touch in our teens but when we met again we got together and just knew we were right for each other and got married.
I keep worrying that they will think we are not genuine.
I hope being a british citizen and a doctor ( as in - in a stable job with promise) works in our favour.

I don't think you should worry too much. You have an education, and a passport that would allow you to work and live in many other places. If you're married, and living together, there is no reason for London to doubt you are genuine. If they have doubts, they will invite you for an interview - so they won't deny you without giving you a chance. Interviews and denials through London are pretty rare ( in fact I don't think I've seen one for the last 12 months), so try to think about the process as "WHEN" I get my PR to Canada, rather than "IF" - as there is no reason for you to be denied. It's mostly a waiting game, and it's stressful for sure, but don't let it get under your skin too much ( I know, easier said than done!).
Good luck,
Sweden

Congrats! well my previous message was not necessary then :-) they wouldn't deny you without an interview, so it's a positive decision. It usually takes about 3 to 5 days in the UK to get the COPR in the post, so it should be there fairly soon :-)

I LOVE YOU SWEDEN ....SMOOOCCCHHHH ( dont tell my husband) :-*

Thanks for the message it is reassuring :)

You think it would be an issue if you were on day 8 or so without getting anything in the post? Also residing within UK. :s
I am just nervous as I don't know what the cut off point for things like this is... praying for good news too! :)

PS - Congrats to you too :D I hope it's good news all round!

I wonder if they send it with a tracking number? Maybe you can contact for the tracking number? I am not sure if they do it just normal 1st/2nd class or special delivery?

Are you living somewhere rura JDCAl?

Mine went into process on 20th Aug and DM on 23rd.

It changed directly from application received to DM.

London seem to be on a roll atm!

Hope it stays this way!

I would say - give it another 5 days, and if you didn't get your COPR by the end of next week, contact London and ask when they sent it ( asking them a precise question is more likely to get you a straightforward answer).

Nice!!! Yea some people have been telling me that it would probably be 2nd class lol think that's their cynicism talking though!

Seems like a swift roll for you too!! Mine went from application received to processing on the 12th August and a DM was made on the 15th August, just currently waiting anxiously for the post. Living in Liverpool at the moment. :)

Also cheers Sweden for the advice!! Will keep an eye out! My wife said it's probably the collection of all files if specific etc, that may take some time, but just guesswork... will try to stay patient hehe :D

I have read on this forum that they only change to DM once the document has been sent out?

Not too sure about that... I thought once a decision is made then it's made but their contact will be on their terms... but again that's guess work... I only just found this forum today though. :)
Hope will be here in the next few days! And for you too! :D

it's been like this for a few applicants - mine was issued on the 5th November, and sent out on the 8th, and ecas turned into DM on the 8th.
But really - it depends on each officer, and it's not consistent...

Congrats y'all! :)
I'm still waiting for the COPR to arrive. If it doesn't come during the next hour then it's next week. But even then it's not totally bad news, next weekend there is chicken wing festival in Buffalo. Not bad time to go there at that time either... ;)
