I'm not so sure, but I hope all that means that they are really reviewing my file. There is no change in Ecas.. so that is also why I have a hard time believing my file could be in process.. ::)

thanks, i guess! :D I just still don't believe those weirdly worded sentences means I'm in process...

I would be over the moon to get such a reply. You have luck on your side to be in process already :)

Yeah, I guess you are right! :) I think I just need to see the words "in process" to believe that's really the case here :D I think your file has to be in the same situation as mine because you applied before me already!! :)

Dear All,

Would you please like to advise me what is counterfoil? Does counterfoil means the visa, London VO pasted on my passport? My PR visa has no picture, what's your experience.

Congrats! Counterfoil indeed is the visa on your passport that will allow you to board a plane as airline staff are not trained to recognize a COPR.

THe COPR normally comes in 2 copies, one with picture, and one without.

This news from yesterday. Does not look like any resolution is in the near future. I suggest people start emailing the CIC MINISTER Jason Kenney at Jason.kenney @ parl.gc.ca

Dare I say it, but things could be worse given the current circumstances. My understanding is that VO's are still working in London, at least in a work to rule capacity. As you can read from this article, some of the embassies have stopped working entirely.

London might well join in and ramp up soon, who knows. But for now it almost seems like business as usual, albeit slightly slower...

Im afraid "slightly slower " is a gross understatement. Take a look at the 2012 spread sheet, and compare the decisions made . March and April were the norm , now take a look at May and June. Slightly slower indeed!
Just having a rant .....been in process now for over 2 months. The VO will remain open , but from the looks at those stats , not much of anything is getting done. Im sure they are still receiving pay however. Im a Canadian Citizen , born and raised here. Nice to see my taxes hard at work !

All bets are off when it comes to public sector pay and benefits. There is no doubt an efficient public sector is a requirement for the smooth running of a country but it seems to me that, no matter what country they are in, they seem to think they are immune to the prevailing economic climate. What they have no concept of is wealth generation which is where their salaries come from. By all means pay them well (after all, you do not want a 3rd world standard diplomatic service) but perhaps they should be encouraged to evaluate whether they are good value for money, not whether they get paid the same as a civil servant elsewhere. Well, that is my rant over... someone else's turn. :P

Hey Guys....Is it just me or has the entry for 2013 applicants been removed from the london Outland google document. Can someone please provide an updated link for the new document if any. Thanks. :)
