but it would be much better to have the spreadsheet arranged by date of sponsorship approval. This is the order in which London processes applications and makes it easier to track each others progress.

Any volunteers to do a big clean up?

it was believed that they approved ppl by sponsorship approval but I and some others don't think this is actually the case. If you look at the spreadsheet as it is now you will see that CIC London have been working on Applications received in Sept/Oct and no one in Nov/Dec have been approved yet despite the fact that some people who applied in Nov and got sponsorship approval the same time as some people in Oct....

Thanks so much. This is a great help.
I downloaded all the forms last night and we'll fill out after we get married in July. Can I check - do I arrange my own medical before handing in all documents? I'm thinking of going this in July.
As I'm in Scotland, I'm assuming it will be London. Does anyone know the details of where to have the medical done? I was also considering having it down when Im in Toronto in July - again if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Thanks again!

Yes, and you need to put the Medical Receipt you get from the Medical Centre in the application form.

Yes it will be London

There is a couple in Scotland one is Bryden Medical in Glasgow which is right opposite Queens Street Station or here are the others

Ummm I did have a response for you based on the fact 2013 spreadsheet was done this way, but I have just noticed that the 2012 spreadsheet has been changed also and I don't know when that was done, so I can't give a clear reason, I can take a guess it is to be in line with the 2013 spreadsheet as it appears from DM posts on here that applications are processed by london based on application received dates.

Perhaps Michty6 or Sweden or anyone else with access to the spreadsheet might be able to respond as to the actual reason why....

I have no idea, I think it just happened that way, I'll try to get dates back into order one of these days - London is not very consistent with the order they process applications, but because most of 2012 is by sponsor approval date, it would be logical to keep it that way.

OK - now I've reorganised it by sponsor approval date. I don't think that we will know for sure in which order files get processed, because some officers will update ecas, some won't, some files take longer than others (visa exempt or not, children involved or not, travel history or not, file completed or not, medicals expired or not - and the list can go on!!). Some weeks it seems that it's in sponsor order, some weeks not... oh well, CIC!

Good luck to all!

Go to the one in Glasgow. Less expensive that the London ones and more knowledgeable than the one in Edinburgh.
