CIC emailed me back today saying my COPR was posted on Monday. Given that over 2 weeks ago they told me I'd have it "within 2 weeks" I'm going to take this with a pinch of salt, but I guess it's good news (better than not hearing anything)...

yeah! that's good news indeed! posted on Monday is a precise date - so your ecas should read DM from yesterday, as it normally turns DM when they post it - any news on that side?

Nope no DM on ECAS. They also said it had pretty much been issued 2 weeks ago, so like I said I have to take what they say with a pinch of salt. It would be amazing if I could get this before the long weekend so I can go and flag-pole. More likely I bet I'll get it Monday and then have to make an evening drive to Niagara next week to flag-pole

that's the most likely timing indeed - it takes about a week to arrive in Canada, sometimes a little more, and with Friday off, I doubt that it will come tomorrow.... but an evening drive to Niagara doesn't sound bad keep us posted!

Grats Baru! Does it say on the envelope when it was posted? My guess would be it was posted at least a day or 2 before they updated your ECAS...

Because I'm inherently lazy could someone advise me on the best border bridge for flagpoling at Niagra please? We intend to park up and walk across, so advice on the right carpark (sorry, parking lot) would be a big help too.

I flag-poled across the rainbow bridge on to my 2nd IEC. Great views of the falls.

Parking is expensive in Niagara Falls but I found some cheap places. Basically if you head along the main road, hang a right when the Skylon Tower (the large CN Tower like tower) is on your right and go up the hill and basically park right behind the Skylon Tower. If you're coming from any direction just aim for the Tower. There is one lot that is like $7 for the day there, about the cheapest you'll get in Niagara...

There's a parking space on Center St. in front of a Days Inn $5 All Day.
