Dear all,

When London VO ask for additional documents. Does that infomation may also seen on ones ECAS or not ? How do ECAS show that?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

When we were asked for additional documents ECAS never confirmed if they received them or not.
You can email them and ask them if they got it. That is what we did and we were told that they did not get the documents even though the tracking showed it was received.

Yup just send them an email they will confirm if the documents were received.

or not :-) I sent additional documents and sent twice an email asking if they had received it, and they never answered - but I know they have because they issued the PR after that... so sending an email doesn't always get you an answer, but you can always try! ;-)

Yeh I guess it depends. Recently (past few months) London has been answering emails very quickly. They have also been dealing with applications at a good pace. Before this (pre-Nov) they were dealing with applications very slowly so it wouldn't surprise me if their email response was not good during this time either. It seems that something happened in the middle of the year - like a loss of staffing or some issues somewhere - that now appear to be resolved...

I've emailed them twice (I can't help myself) and I've had timely responses both times. The first one was within 24 hours and the last one was within 72. And I was just bugging them lol

The last one told me my file is "under review" if anyone knows what that means?

Logged in the ECAS this morning - I am IN PROCESS! :-* ;D :D

It seems like they have started "processing" August and September! Good times!!

They requested more information which I mailed and emailed using the inquiry system - should I have just responded back to the email I was sent instead? Anyone knows? Any ideas?

Very happy to be in process...

It is a standard response from them. Doesn't mean much other than 'they have opened your file' ;)

Just reply to the email and attach the documents. Send them snail mail copies at the same time. There is no need to use the enquiry system after they have emailed you since their response will have your File Number in the subject line when you reply they automatically match up your response to your file.

Better opened than collecting dust I suppose :)

I had sent an email inquiring about my husbands status after they requested additional documents and before receiving my DM today.

The person responsible for his file emailed me confirming the outcome of the decision

Good afternoon,

The application was finalised and approved today and the Confirmation of Permanent Residence form was mailed to:

"husbands name and address in UK"

Kind regards,
CDD

Confirmation. I'm the happiest wife ever.LOL

Cngratulations!!!

Hi everyone,

My prayers have been heard and I finally have good news *yay* :D
My husband was requested today (March 13, 2013) to send his passport to the London office so that they can stamp his visa.
They have said it can take up to 6 weeks.
However, I do have one question. My husband's medical expired first week of March, but they did not mention anything about his medical in the email. It is possible they got an extension?
Ecas still shows 'In process'.

So glad to see non visa exempt making progress!

Whoop! whoop!!
Really happy for you Chopsticks..... like reaaaaallly!!
Six weeks is nothing compared to where you have come from and i am sure it wont take up to 6weeks to get his passport back.
Congratulations!!!

They told you they had not received the docs even though they were signed for? What did you do about that?

Did you have to send the docs again?

Thank you so much! :)
I really hope they send it back within a week lol

About the additional documents yes they even confirmed in the email that they had the package. We were asked to provide communication proof and 3 updated police certificates, so they said only the communication proof and 1 out of the 3 police certificates were there.
It made no sense as to how the other 2 just disappeared. Rather than arguing with them we just decided to send the police certificates again which took another month to get! It was a really stressful time for us, because I am sure it was one of the causes for the delay in processing.

in my case I sent them without being asked, because I was missing some Police Certificates. I have lived in a lot of different countries in the past 10 years, and could not get all the certificates at once. So I prepared my file, sent everything to MIssissauga, and once I got the certificates missing sent to me, I sent them to London so they could be added to my file. I had included a letter explaining that I was aware I was supposed to send them some certificates, but was working on it.

Hooray! :D :D :D :D

Got my COPR in the post today.

Took a week to get from London to Montreal.

"Flagpoling" (can't believe that's a verb) this weekend!

Good luck to the rest of you. It's taken the full 9 months for us so stay patient.
