My stage one changed back to in process last month. It's decision made again now. I wouldn't worry about it.

Dear Blueboom,

Thanks for your reply!

May I ask you, what about your stage-two now e.g., is that in process ?
Our timelines are very close and I am also from non visa exempt country. Where are you from ?
By how long may we expect our decision, if you have any idea?

Thanks man!

Don't worry about it. London changes the application to 'in progress'. Either they changed the wrong part or yours is different than anyone elses. Since London and Canada use the same ECAS this can happen. It's totally fine.

Thanks michty6 :)

SWEDEN, do you have any idea about it?

My stage 2 isn't being processed yet. If you take a look at the spreadsheet, a number of the non exempt applicants are still waiting. CIC hasn't started processing the November approvals yet, so we may have quite a wait ahead of us. London takes a longer time to process non visa exempt applications because of background checks being conducted in other countries, as well as the time it takes to place the visa in the passport.

I'm sponsoring my husband. He's Indian. His UK visa is expiring at the end of the month, but he has already returned to India.

Well did my walk around the flag pole last night after picking up my COPR.
I went i signed it got my hand chaked given a little booklet and said congrats.. your landed and your PR will be sent to your address automatically.

So Officially finished!!
Wish you all the best guys!!

P.s.
And if your planning on bringing any forniture belongings etc.. make sure you claim it there and then as they sign off for any belongings you have no matter of the vallue, tax free with no duty to pay on it what so ever.
So remember to write a list or get the actual B4 form i think thats the name of it and go nutz as no tax will be added at import!

Conrats Andy! Did you flagpole at Niagara?

I went to Lewiston bridge, no real wait time in the evening and nice people to deal with even US side.
And apparently i cant just do a U turn lol so you have to cross the border and then turn around.
If you dont want to pay the 6$ to enter the us you dont have too (for the 3 month visa) so remember that.
But all you do when at canadian customs is show your COPR and thats it they do the rest.
And the tool fee on the way back is 3.25$ CAD.

Congrats Andy and thanks for this info.. I'll be needing it later :)

no problem, and i always find that at night time customs are more easy going.. less work less traffic i went there around 10pm and 4 cars in line for the us and 0 cars coming back canada side. So every officer was in a good mood. I always take these things in consideration and it seems to work.

Ok. Now I know. Once you get your DM on Ecas the waiting and focus turns to the COPR and postbox...

And on other news...snowing hard again in Toronto.

S.

What the heck, right? Yesterday I was getting all dreamy about the fact that I couldn't see snow on anything anymore.

Congrats andytoronto!

Hi everyone,

My prayers have been heard and I finally have good news *yay* :D
My husband was requested today (March 13, 2013) to send his passport to the London office so that they can stamp his visa.
They have said it can take up to 6 weeks.
However, I do have one question. My husband's medical expired first week of March, but they did not mention anything about his medical in the email. It is possible they got an extension?
Ecas still shows 'In process'.

So glad to see non visa exempt making progress!

If they are ready to issue the visa who cares about the medical! They probably extended it but it doesn't really matter since the decision was made!

I flag-poled at Niagara previously on to my 2nd IEC visa. It was totally fine. I mainly chose Niagara for a day out and you get a much nicer view as you walk across the bridge ;) I'll probably do that again when (in my head still an 'if') my COPR arrives.

Same as mitchy6 and blueboom - ecas is not very reliable, and there is nothing to worry about :-) !

Congrats! that's great to hear, and most likely it will take less than 6 weeks! THey have extended the medicals, but they just don't tell you about it - if it wasn't the case, they would have asked for a re-meds... so it's the end of the line, and interview was waived!

Bear in mind though that the COPR is only valid for landing as long as the medical! I'm sure they just extended it Chopsticks, but I'd ask them about your landing date just to be sure!
