Congrats!!! finally it's over!! good luck on landing, but that's an easy part, nothing to worry about! so glad your journey is finally over!
now you can start thinking about something else ( if you run short of ideas, let me know! :-) I have a full list of things to worry about after COPR!).

on a different note, for those landings in BC: I have tried to be added to my partner's healthcare, to try and get around the 3 months waiting period ( well in BC it's 2 months + the remaining of the landing month, so it depends on when you land), and it didn't work! got my healthcare card yesterday in the mail, and my healthcare cover starts on the 1st of February, so 2 months + remaining of the month. Just in case the info is useful to somebody else!

Today is my 2 months anniversary of landing! :-)
Have a good day all,
Sweden

Happy 2 Month anniversary!!!!! :)

COPR IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, it's over!

I am so relieved and cannot wait to put all of this behind me. For the past year, I've woken up everyday thinking about and wondering if there's any good news and I have no idea what I'll find to worry about now but I know it will never be as stressful as this whole ordeal has been!

Thank you to everyone in this forum who has been supportive. I really appreciate all your responses, comments and discussions. Without this forum, I may have lost my mind.

Good luck to everyone else waiting!!!!

And, to those of you who have waited too long or have had problems with your file (like I did), I hope that the happy ending of my case brings some kind of solace to you all.

Much love and good vibes! xo

Congratulations!

Hi mickmerf1

I am not surprise if they are on a go slow. Just finish X-mas, New Years break, now they are having coffee/tea breaks and fag (cigarette) break. Oh ya, Valentines day is on it way, coming soon day dreaming break. :D

I think it was suggested some time ago that London VO processes different visas per week, so one week is focused on family, one temporary workers, student visas etc.

It makes no sense to me that they'd do it that way since it sounds illogical, which means that's probably what they do! :P

Qtazngal, Easter is the next excuse for a go slow >:(
Blueboom, nothing about the process is logical the word does not exist in their vocabulary :D

Mickmerf1

Ya your right, we also forgot summer break, birthdays etc. :D :D

Blueboom - if that is the case it looks like a long haul again for me I think ::) ::) I wonder what week my file will fall under, maybe it will be under the supa cala frajalistic expi ala do sh*t break. :) with my luck that is. lol

Hi guys,

I've been having stress lately because I'm just not sure how much communication there is supposed to be about the progress of applications. Firstly after we sent our application in to Mississauga we received absolutely nothing, the only way we found out it had gone to London was by calling them and telling them our payment receipt number. We still don't know when exactly it went to London but we haven't received anything at all since it got sent there either, no confirmation of receipt nothing. I can't check on it as we haven't received a case number.
Should I be concerned about this or is it normal?

Cheers :)

Hey Lucanna,

welcome to the forum! you should have a file number and the UCI (unique client identifier). Normally you get those when you get the sponsor approval, either by email or by snail mail. If you didn't get any of those, you should contact CIC and ask them to re-send the sponsorship approval ( letter or mail), and ask them on the phone your UCI and File number ( starting with F). like this, you will have access to ecas and can check online. However - there is not much info on ecas, so it's not like you're missing out on much! :-)
When did you get the sponsor approval? your file usually arrives in London between 10 days to 2 weeks (it's a guesstimate) after that. London usually doesn't let you know that they have your file either, so it's always a guess...
Good luck,
Sweden

Hi Sweden, Thank you for your reply. We actually don't know exactly when we got sponsor approval, my boyfriend called them at the beginning of December and they just told him it had gone to London already but not when. That was my next move to call them tomorrow and get the info I just wanted to make sure things from London hadn't gone missing or something but if they don't tell you anything then I guess I'm not!
Thank you so much!

when did you send your file to Mississauga ? if you look in my signature you'll see the London Spreadsheet, with the date people have applied, when they got the sponsorship approval, and more or less when they heard back from London.
Good luck,
Sweden

It got sent on September 25th or there abouts. I can't remember the exact date but roughly around then.

Thanks I will take a look!
