Check the spreadsheet. It does vary a bit. Mine was over a month.

Congrats! I knew it would happen soon! Let us know how when you get your letter. I haven't got mine yet - it's only been a five days and it's been sent from London to Ireland. Good luck :) Let's all hope it's positive news!

I found myself reading through the much earlier posts in this thread tonight.
My god, in 2011 they were processing apps from very beginning to end in as little as 2 or 3 months!!!! :o
7 months later and I'm still waiting, not to mention people waiting longer!
The wait really seems never ending and it's all I think about.
Please be over soon! Even as its "in process" I'm not getting my hopes up...

Does anyone know why it takes so much longer now? I feel as if I am waiting forever!!! At least I have my current job until May... My new job in Canada starts in June so hopefully my application is approved by then so I can start! I feel bad, I already pushed my employers start date back by about a year as I started applying for an LMO/temp work permit last summer but that didn't work out so back to my day job I went... Now I am just counting down the days!

And a big congrats to the end of the waiting game to nmford and bonitanita!!

I know, it sucks. I so wish I'd met my wife a year earlier. We'd probably be all settled by now.

I had one of those 'what if' thoughts. I read someone in another thread talking about sending their photocopy of their passport and how it was a colour photocopy. Made me realise I sent the copies of my passport and birth certificate in black & white. Anyone think this'd be a problem?

Mine was black and white as well, and got approved without trouble. Don't worry!

I noticed that on the spreadsheet indeed - that's good news!as always with CIC - difficult to say anything. Could be only a week, but could be much more. Some applications went straight from Application Received to Decision Made ( mine did), but hopefully if your file is complete, it'll be done soon! :-)
Fingers crossed ( now that I don't have to keep them crossed for mnford and bonitanita!).

Makes you wonder if they had fore filled their quota of COPR's for 2012 and that's why so many people have got their COPR in January 2013.

Is that how it works?
