Guys I am pleased to announce that I checked on ecas today and finally... Dm!!!!

Another awesome result today, Congratulations!!!

Like most of us on here, we have been watching your timeline as well as Sarah2012, nmford and FK22 with anticipation not only because it brings our own applications closer to decision but also because we all understand how each other is feeling and want this process over quickly for everyone.

Thanks for everyone's help and support in this thread. Much appreciated and I hope they hurry up with everyone's applications - especially those who've been waiting for extended periods of time.

I'll be in touch when I see good news in the mailbox!

:)

YAY!!! Great news for you after waiting so long!!!! ;D ;D

London are really working :)

Lurked around but not got round to posting here. Some of you might have seen me on BritishExpats forum too.

Sent our app to Mississauga on December 12th and got a message on ECAS saying a decision was made on January 9th for the first stage. As the correspondence goes to the lawyer (and my representative doesn't work Mondays!) I'm eagerly awaiting news tomorrow on whether it all went through fine. Would be nice if the website actually told you yes or no rather than leaving you hanging. Bit of a bad joke...whoever came up with the status messages needs a slap!

Welcome! Yeah, the statuses on eCas almost feel like they're designed to make you live in fear! Best of luck with the process! Where are you moving to?

if you have a standard application, and no particular issue, and they haven't asked for anything extra, then it's an approval! :-) but yes - it's hard on the nerves for sure! and well - stage 2 doesn't get much better! :-)
Your representative might have a mail from them, but if they sent a letter, then you'll have to wait until the physical letter gets to them...
Good luck, and welcome to London Vo and stage 2 anyway! :-)

So they told me last month I'd hear back mid jan....

I am going to check the ecas site 100 times today!!!!!!

Lawyer has confirmed it all went through correctly and is now on its way to / in London. Pretty nice. Less than 1 month in Mississauga for approval including xmas break.

I'm already in Canada (on an IEC visa)...living in Guelph, ON.

Excellent! Good for you! Here's hoping London is nice and quick too! I imagine your application will be fast if you've already had an IEC visa. It's all just a matter of it waiting to get out of the "In-Tray" and into a VO's lap! Best of luck!

Certainly hope so. Been on 2 work visas, one in 2010-11 and this one which started in June 2012. With our joint bank accounts, rent cheques, photos, wedding cards and all that stuff it should be routine I'd hope. Already says they have my medical results and I heard nothing back from the Doc on that so I'm guessing I'm reasonably healthy. Police checks from UK and Canada done. Lawyer checked it all and signed off on it...so just a waiting game.

My current visa expires in June 2013 so it would be nice not to run too close to that. Here's hoping.

As an aside...I see everyone has that fancy timeline under their name on the left...how do I do that?

Hey Everyone, I've been following the forums for a while now, the insight really came in handy during our application process. I'm sponsoring my English common law partner who lives in Japan! (We lived there together, I'm back in Canada now) Figured I'd throw my hat in with everyone else in this our collective struggle. Sent in our application on Nov 3, 2012, received in Mississauga Nov 5, 2012, got sponsorship approval Dec 18, 2012.

In for the long haul!

Thanks and good luck to everyone.

Good luck - visa before June is feasible if you look at the spreadsheet - quite a few people get done around the 4/5 months mark...
The fancy timeline - you need to have at least 10 posts before you can add information, keep posting you're almost there! :-)
Good luck on your application,
Sweden

Welcome and good luck - if you want to add yourself to the spreadsheet, the link is in my signature, and you just add yourself based on the order of sponsorship approval, the color on your name corresponds to the month where you applied... if you're not too comfortable, let me know and I'll add you.
Good luck,
Sweden
