I think I should have requested New Delhi as my VO, as they seem to be processing really quickly ....someone in the August thread (submitted application 1 day before me) has had PPR today...

New Delhi is a strange VO, I mean it is fast but differs to every other VO because they request passport very early in 2nd stage, in fact very close to file transfer. VO's can hold their passport for 2-6 months and render any travel outside India impossible. I guess the thinking behind it is, to control visitors from India to Canada. Now why specifically India I am not sure but to be without your passport for 6 months especially during immigration process would be torture.

ahhhhhhh i didnt know that...thought they were just being really lucky, it does make me feel a little better, although not so good for the people from New Delhi

I am the exact same, very restless. Hoping to hear this month!

Perhaps with all the festive celebrations and shopping to be done, the next couple of month may go quickly for us by being distracted...

Yeah I started christmas shopping on Saturday as I'm going back to Scotland for christmas (and taking practically an empty suitcase so I can bring more of my belongings back with me in January) so that does make it a bit more fun. Although I have seen some small flurries of snow over the last few days! Hoping its just a little and theres not too much before I go home haha

I've heard they do this since they need to use the original passport to run the background checks. Not sure if it's true though. Scary bit is that they can still get interviews or refusals after having their passport with the VO for a few months.

This message is for Deficient or anyone else that has been asked for a second medical furtherance... We emailed CIC to ask about our application and were told that they requested a second medical furtherance on aug 6..........we never got a letter to ask for these.......do you know if they can just ask for this stuff to ur DMP or do they ask you for it??? confused

Grrrrrrr what is happening with London again!!! There has been no news for ages now and the processing times are becoming ridiculous, so many people stuck from the June approvals and no movement on the rest of the July approvals. It is Tuesday and the ECAS update and not a single piece of good news for anybody. I am so frustrated and this process just seems to have no end and is dragging on and on.

Well our sponsorship approval was on August 8th and we have heard nothing, our ECAS says application received. So i emailed them almost 3 months after. I doubt they will reply if you e-mail at this stage unfortunately. I was surprised that i received an email back from them the next morning though

Sadly it will most likely be the same as last month, nothing moving for the majority of the month and then a surge of COPR's around the last week of November...seems to be London's mode of operation.. :'( Hopefully lots of folk will get through soon!

Good luck with your application - at least you applied at a time where stage 1 is a reasonable 35 days!
