Thanks for the reply bryandd. Please could you add me to the spread sheet. Also is there a key to what the different colours represent?

No problem, added. The months are split up into colours, just for ease on the eye I suppose; and the red represents landed....or COPR recieved...? Maybe someone else can clarify that :).

I think the red is when the visa has been issued and COPR received, as quite a few people tend to delay a bit the landing - especially that most applicants are actually living outside of Canada with their spouse, and it takes a while to plan a move (as opposed to couples where one is living in Canada already and the spouse is waiting somewhere else, in that case most of the times the landing is done very soon after the visa is issued, not necessarily the case).
Seems logical to me, as the spreadsheet is to try and follow up on timing from CIC, not timing for individual cases, and landing time really depends on each situation.

At least - that's how I read it! :-) but i didn't create the spreadsheet in the first place, so...

Also - the spreadsheet is open to all, so feel free to update your own case - I have tried to put some dates etc when I see an approval but it's also for everybody to fill it out.

Cheers,
Sweden

Hi everyone!

Just got the email now saying I'm approved to sponsor and the application has been sent on to London now!

Application received June 25th, so just over 2 months :)

Congratulations, it went fast, and welcome to London VO! I have added you on the spreadsheet, please update it with your information whenever something changes - the link is in my signature, and anybody can update it.

it is good news! when the address changes to the canadian one, it means that the PR has been issued - but they keep the mailing address to be able to send you the COPR... congrats!

Hello Congrats in advance!!!!!
Can you please tell me when your application was rec'd in London. I am doing my own personal count on which month they are working on. Also how do you check ecas as the person being sponsored. Do you use the same UCI as the person sponsoring you or is there a different number.

Thank you!

Application received 21/02/12
Sponsorship approval/transfer to London 09/05/12
My e-cas didn't changed from application received the whole way through until today and now it gives further info of they started working on it 24/08/12 and medical was received.

I used my surname and details and use your immigration file number/application number which began with F##########

Hope that helps and thanks

U

Hey temmyt,

you can always check if you want to see the progress in the spreadsheet, it's added to my signature anytime I post, and it's the same for a few other people - so for now it looks like they are working on applications received in May/early June.

Hi all,

Ive received my COPR letter today but im alittle worried why its says "Not Valid To Travel" across it, Im going to Canada on Tuesday for a holiday for 2 weeks and will be coming back to England and moving to Canada later in the year. Will this affect my travel plans?

Many thanks

Hey!

Congrats on the COPR! I haven't seen one, so I am not sure, but I assume that the document itself is not valid to travel - you need a passport for that.
As you are from a visa exempt, the COPR is not attached to your passport, but has been sent to you directly. Probably to avoid that people think that the document itself is enough to travel, then they put that mention. But if you travel with your passport, and take with you the COPR + B4 forms if needed, you'll be able to "land" (complete landing procedures) in 2 weeks, indicate the address in Canada where you want to receive your PR card, and leave the country after that if you need. THe positive part is that like this when you move to Canada for good, you might have your PR card, as well as health insurance (there is a 3 months delay before you are covered in Canada).

Enjoy your travels!
