Just a general question but anyone ever flown with Canadian affair?im flying with them tomorrow and just want to know if I can take a handbag/purse as well as hand luggage? :) I know all airlines are different haha
Like most carriers, Air Transat (airlines which flies on behalf of Canadian Affair allow one piece of carry on baggage (5kgs), so it won't be a problem! If you're flying on the refurbished A330 aircraft then you have personal TV with entertainment, if not refurbished, its shared TV. Be prepared to take a good book then! Have a good flight!

Thanks! I just had to double check the allowance for carry on and you're right it is 5! Last time we went club class for the extra baggage and it was 15 that had confused me! So I've had to cut it down haha.

I hate packing!!

How im going to pack before landing with pr (hopefully!!) I will never know :)

Don't bother!! ;D
We sold 99% of our stuff when we moved here last year and only shipped 6 relatively small boxes so we saved a fortune! We bought basic stuff for our first home and have just started to 'upgrade' things now that we are settled.

Just a suggestion!!!

We don't have much anyway :) were only 22 so nothing we really need to ship planning on leaving most of the stuff im taking today then next time (when we land) bring the rest, maybe upgrade to get the extra baggage between us and that should be everything maybe just ship some coats and shoes :)

it will be a good one - if they had doubts, they would have asked for additional information, not denied your application. it seems that it's a pretty straightforward case, so they could take the decision probably the same day they opened your application!
But I agree - waiting is probably really hard, even if everybody tells you it will be OK, you probably won't really believe it until you get the COPR in the mail!

I have already booked my ticket :-) so at least I won't have to wait on the COPR for that!
Good luck!

Congratulations, that's great to hear! so - 5 days between "decision made" on the website and the letter getting to you directly.... that seems reasonable!

So happy that it's over for you, and crossing fingers for the others...
Good luck with landing!

Does the London VO issue AOR's once they receive your file? The suspense is killing me. Also, is there a spread sheet for London outland applicants so we can glance at how things are proceeding?

Hi Forester2000, it seems to be up to the officer in charge of your file to send an AOR or not. I don't think many people recieve one, so unfortunately its a case of obsessively watching ECAS for an update. The link to the London spreadsheet is in my signature, below. Sweden carries it too. Looks like they are dealing with files that got to London in the first week of June. Its slowly moving along :)

@thisdj1 - brilliant news! When are you landing?

@canuck_in_uk - Congrats on sponsor approval and welcome to stage 2!

Thanks for the reply bryandd. Please could you add me to the spread sheet. Also is there a key to what the different colours represent?
