Well we have heard nothing yet either. I have just submitted a request for a career break to the HR dept at work. This will give me the chance to come back and continue work if all goes wrong, not that I think it will. Might as well take advantage of a safety net though. We are hoping to have our last Christmas here with friends and family then travel to Canada the long way around starting in Jan 13 and arriving a few months later with or with out visa. We are estimating to have it before we go.

Good luck, I hope you get news quick!

Seeing London going up to 8 months is depressing but let's hope they are just exaggerating!

Yeah I wanted to see it drop not rise. Well there seems to be a pause right now but I'm hoping that is because last week was the begining of a new batch and a load more of us will hear soon. Who knows, maybe they stopped for the Olympics ha ha ha.

I wouldn't be surprised! Everything else did who cares about our futures and happiness haha

As long as they get back on track and start rolling out the coprs :)

Is there any particular reason why the ENTIRE 2012 sheet in the London spreadsheet has gone blank?

I swear people are bloody morons. This crap happened when I opened up the February spreadsheet for public editing too, people started deleting stuff they shouldn't and acting like weirdos.

Thanks a lot, whoever did that.

OK. I've restored it back to how it looked before the last edit that wiped it. Everything should be fine now.

We shouldn't get too down about it having gone up to 8 months. This is probably because of the Olympics!
At the end of the day it is an average, not a statement of how long it will be. It includes really quick applications that are completed in a few months and also applications that can take maybe a year due to complications, missing documents etc. The average of these being 8 months! A straightforward app shouldn't take as long, unless they take another month and shut down for the Paralympics too!!!! ::)

True enough! It feels like the clock has stopped until we get something!!

thanks for that - indeed having it opened for everybody is not the best, but I also understand that nobody in particular wants to be in charge as it takes time...
cheers,

This thread is dying. Any good news from the London vo in this week?

doesn't seem like anybody got any news! maybe they are all on holidays after the Olympics! :-) or working really really hard... and next week everybody will hear from them... fingers crossed!
My file has been there for 6 weeks and nothing has changed. I have sent additional documents before being asked for them ( PCC that I couldn't get on time) so I hope they will open my file really soon!
Yasiin - hope your passport gets back to you with a nice visa very soon!
Good luck all,
Sweden

Thanks Sweden. I wanted to update the spreadsheet and add my timeline but i could not access the 2011 application page. Did anyone delete it from the spreadsheet.? Hope everyone will hear a good news that will put smiles on their faces next week.

Dear Yasiin,

I'm not sure - i know that the spreadsheet had been deleted and restored again - now it works if you try to open from my signature. Otherwise, let me know and I can update it for you - there is already 2nd of August for PPR.

Once it says medicals received does this mean they are actually working on your file? :) Mines has changed to that today so hoping it means everything is happening now!

I wish! :-) but I don't think it means they are "working on your file" - i think it means that they have matched the medicals ( that arrived much earlier) to your file, and they have received your file. It's probably now in the queue... which is good news! both that your file has been received, they have found the medicals and added - my file did that in the first 3 or 4 days it got there ( and the address for sponsor and applicants were updated etc) - so I was very happy to see movements on ecas, but then - nothing in the last 6 weeks.... waiting and waiting. But -it's only been 6 weeks, so it's normal... I'm not holding my breath ( at least - not anymore, and not now!)...
Good luck!
