congrt yasiin i am so happy that finally the hard time is finish

Thank you Imran. Its been a long stressful journey. I am just waiting to get my passport back from London to Sweden. I don't know how long its gonna take but it reached the office on 6th of August.

Has anybody received a COPR recently??!!

I had my meds done in March in Canada. We got Sponsor approval on July 25th. My files have been transfered to the London VO. However, when I went to the doc and he asked me which VO I was applying through, I said Mississagua instead of London. What do I do? Will this delay my application? Will Mississagua be smart enough to forward to papers to London without me having to be proactive about this?

Hey Bonitanita,

Congrats on your AOR ;D. I did the same as you although I had the meds in England. I told them that I was applying through Mississagua and thought no more about it until mid June. When we received our AOR it says on ECAS medical has been received. I am pretty certain that the medicals go in to a immigration database and can be matched up there or at least mine was. I assume a lot of people make the mistake of saying miss as oppose to their local VO. Did you send your carbon copy with your application? ( I added mine as part of our package) Hope that helps ;D

I just got off the phone with them. Apparently, it's not a big deal... there's a central database or something and she said it will not change anything. However, she said "medicals rcvd" will not show on ECAS and that makes me not believe her because I know people who see that on their ECAS.

Hi, I sent mine feb and got sponsorship in may and my ecas hasn't changed either, just says application received! I'm going on the no news is good news theory!

Have you clicked on the application received? it then directs you to a small page with medical details (if any)

Mine is the same as yours canucks.

Keep plugging away - something will come up.

We have just had our "Application received" email today (16/8/12) and we sent it to Canada June 8 so not too shabby!

Here's hoping!

Yeah, it just says We received **** ****'s application for permanent residence on May 2, 2012.

Mine doesn't say anything except application received on feb 21st

Mine says that (12th april) and medicals received, strange how for the same VO the updates can be completely different! it seems like it's up to each officer whether they update ecas or not, not sure it actually means anything (i'm glad to know they have matched my medicals, but I'm pretty sure it's the same for yours, still it doesn't appear on ecas...).
Apparently for some people it went from "application received" to "decision made" without any intermediary steps, let's hope for that!
London thread has been very quiet, no updates, hope the pace picks up a bit once the holidays are over!
Good luck,
Sweden

you need to have the B4 ready ( with things you are importing now, and goods to follow if it's the case) as it should be stamped at the same time as the COPR, but apart from that, nothing else I think!

When are you landing?
Good luck!
Sweden

We are actually going on holiday to Calgary in 2 weeks, and landing then. We are leaving back for the UK afterwards though to sort everything out. We are travelling 2 days before our medicals expire! Cutting it a bit close! ha.

Do we need the B4 form if we are landing but not bringing any affects over at the time?

Also, if we are travelling together next year when we settle permanently could we just say everything we bring back belongs to me (Canadian Citizen)?

Thanks again.

Hello everyone,

Just looking for some advice on Dual Intent and experiences of people.

I've applied outland and my parter and dependants are from a visa exempt country. What are the chances of getting study permits for the children while my partner awaits her PR? I understand that we don't need a TRV but as we have children is there any point in trying to come to Canada and wait for PR to be approved or will CIC deny the study permit request?

To what extent do we need to show that we still have ties to the "Old Country" and what would be sufficient proof (return tickets)? Family support and income should not be an issue as I can get a job while my partner waits for her PR.

Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
