Hi Pink Lady. Could you add us to the spreadsheet when you get a chance? Our application was mailed on 22 Dec 2011, received on 23 Dec and we received AOR on 21 Feb. And since then nothing. I called CIC today and they said that there is no problem they can see with our application and there are delays in Missassauga and I should call back in 2 weeks if I still haven't hear anything. 2 More weeks!!!! I am starting to get very anxious as it has now been nearly 3 months and we still don't have sponsership approval. I am in London and my OH is in Canada and we were hoping I would be moving there in July. Some days it is very hard to remain positive. I know I have to be patient, but I was really expecting to have our sponsorship application approved by the end of Feb. I think we are the only ones left of the December batch who haven't had approval yet? Why is it taking so long?

:P

Well we have booked our flights!! My partner will be going over in April to hopefully start his job and get us an apartment! Then I'll be following on May 11th!! So excited. 9 weeks and counting!!

Congratulations to all those who have received their COPR recently and to those still waiting....Good Luck and it does happen!!!

YEAH!

We are going with Canadian Affair. They use a Thomas Cook/Air Transat plane but are cheaper. No individual video screens but its a direct flight and from Glasgow only 6 1/2 hours!!! From London you probably get more choice.

P.S. I've used them 4 time before and no issues. The few times i've used a US flight and transfered I always end up waiting a few days for my luggage on the way back.

We've used Canadian affair several times, they aren't as good as they used to be, but they are still fine for the price

So my wife landed on friday without any issues except the airplane door got stuck for 30min ::)
Border Officers didn't search her luggages nor check her B4 or B4A papers. She said they didn't seems to care and just signed the papers for her. They also asked how much money she brought over. They asked her if the address on the COPR was correct or not and if she had other items being shipped over. They told her to expect a VISA card within 2 months.

That was pretty much it.

Well this journey is over for me folks ;) next adventure will be OHIP and SIN. Accomplished bank yesterday. Final mission will be citizenship :)

It takes awhile in Mississauga. It took me about 2 1/2 months from the time they've received it. I forgot to sign one section and they mailed me back that one specific section only and they automatically forwarded my whole application to London. They mentioned in my letter to mail my signed papers to London to avoid any delays.

Then london found a section we didn't fill out and they emailed my spouse and asked her to fill it out and mail it in to London.

I hope you provided an email. Makes things a lot easier and A LOT faster.

As I had predicted, we have cocked up our application and now London office is asking for more information. They want my husband's personal information from '94-'99 because he provided only the last 10 years and not all the years since he was 18.....and the email also said to allow 4 MONTHS (??? really?) for them to review incoming supplementry information.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooo mad right now.

It won't take 4 months, just send in the requested info asap. I think 4 months is just so you wont pester them, like on the website it says 7 months to process but most take around 3-4 once London receives it.
Try not to get stressed about it.

SO, London finally emailed me back (after the email last Monday, March 5) and said that they posted my papers on Thursday, March 8 and to please not contact them about anything until I receive the documents that have been put in the post. At least now I know it's on the way!
