Hi everyone, being a uk citizen how can i apply for canadian citizenship?
if i move canada on visit n den apply for citizenship?
wat are options for me to get citizenship in canada
plz reply if anyone know abt anything regarding it
thanks

I believe u hve to live there for minumum 3 years to apply. Theres forms to fill and send off to nova scotia then wait about 12-15 months for the process.youll go thru exam and oath ceremony towards the end.

You can't apply for citizenship after living as a visitor for 3 years, you must be a permanent resident first.

If you are married or in a common law relationship with a Canadian Citizen or PR they can sponsor you.
Or you can apply as a skilled worker.

but i do not fall in both categories cuz i m single yet n not a skilled worker , not studied much . any other options to be a PR in canada. i m british national so being a UK citizen wat are chances to get PR in canada other den spaous n skilled worker

Being a uk citizen doesnt really mean anything to the Canadian immigration we have to go through the same process as everyone else.
Go look at www.cic.gc.ca and there is a quiz you can take to see if you qualify to put an application in.

Yes it's easy, just send them a txt msg in gangsta-English explaining that you have no connections to Canada and nothing to offer its economy but you'd quite like to become a citizen anyway, and you'll probably go right to the front of the queue.

Hi 'morning' how long did it take to get your passport back when you posted it? we faxed through the RPRF and are waiting for PPR email... thanks in advance

Hey everyone, I'm glad I found my 'home' on here for a little while until me and my hubby figure our situation out! Best wishes to everyone still in the midst of this process - it seems like one of the most stressful things we will ever have to do!
A question has come to mind since skimming through these posts - I will be applying to sponsor my hubby - I have been living in the UK (Canadian citizen) for 4 years now and working in FT employment since I arrived. Will the CIC need to see any of my tax papers from Canada previous to 2007? Or would it suffice to send them my P60s from UK?
Thanks

I would send a copy of your P60, that's what I did
