I literally laughed out loud about the door bell.aj~ said:You and me both. Will be a month "In Process" on Friday and I'm 3rd oldest on the spreadsheet without COPR. Seen as yours didn't update to Decision Made though I'll probably get excited every time I hear the doorbell just in case!
How long have you know your husband for..I dont think what you have described above will be too much of an issue if you had know him for quite a while before getting married.Becki567 said:I literally laughed out loud about the door bell.
I am hoping to just stay calm. I don't imagine ours would be processed in just a few days. We do have some red flags - I'm 9 yrs older than my husband, we got married in Canada with none of his family here.
We had planned to get married in England, we spent 5 weeks there last summer but my divorce was delayed because of a missing form. It didn't make sense for his family to spend all that money to fly to Canada a month after we left. His dad had no more vacation days and his parents would rather save the money to come see us this year for month. We sent a letter explaining all this so I hope they understand
Congratulations. This is getting repetitious: nearly everyone whose forum alias I recognize now through! AJ squiggle next! Cant wait to read about it!apt2208 said:![]()

I met him online in jan 2008 and we met in person jan 2009. He visited me 8 times between 2009-2012. He came to Canada on his first IEC visa in March 2012 and has been here ever since. He moved in with me Sept 2012 and we were married August 2013apt2208 said:How long have you know your husband for..I dont think what you have described above will be too much of an issue if you had know him for quite a while before getting married.
You shouldnt have a problem. I met my husband Jan 2012 through family (not an arranged marriage though), visited him in March, August, December 2012 for several weeks at a time. Got married April 2013 in Canada. Forgot to add we had an offical engagement in December 2012 with over 100 people.Becki567 said:I met him online in jan 2008 and we met in person jan 2009. Becki - I suspect your's is on the way too but will just be a few days later if its coming to Canada. Finger crossed for you!
Thank you to each and everyone of you who have supported me through this process, this forum has made the whole process much easier.
I wish you all the very best of luck!
Thank you - well actually almost 7 months.saeedar said:Congrats! You got it in 6 months. Thats really fast for London office. I wish others that have been waiting so long get their DM soon.
That is exciting! It's kind of liberating knowing you don't have to think anymore about the forms etc anymore, it's just waiting left. Every day you are closer to your PR now.taffy7 said:Well the package has been sent off. Got to say i was more nervous sending that off than i was on my wedding day .
I would be surprised if you were in process already. The spreadsheet shows must of September's applicants are just going into process. Asking for more information is not bad. They just felt whatever was initially provided was not enough and have given you an opportunity to provide more evidence.MrPineappleHead said:Hi there,
My first post here after hovering for a while, my outland application was received on the 13th Jan in Mississauga and I got sponsorship approval about one month later. Since I'm based in Montreal, I've also got my CSQ through and have sent it off to the London VO.
Anyway, I got an email from the London VO on Monday saying:
"Dear Applicant,
In order to continue processing your application, we require the additional documents listed below. Please send clear legible photocopies rather than the original documents unless otherwise specified. If the documents are not written in either English or French, please enclose a certified translation with a photocopy of the original document.
Proof of Cohabitation
Cover at least a 12 month period – Such as joint mortgage/property deed/tenancy agreement, bank accounts, partner named on life insurance/pension plan."
I've subsequently sent off 24 months worth of joint bank statements, copies of our policy info for our joint home insurance, and a letter from our landlord saying we have lived together for almost 2 years. I'm having a hard time understanding whether the fact they emailed me for more info is a very good sign and that my application is now 'in process' or whether its bad news and will actually significantly delay the processing of my app?
Could anyone shed some light on this from their experience?
Cheers
Thanks Becki, I was mainly hoping that I'd be one of those lucky ones who get their application processed really quickly, but was also worried that this additional request would delay my application. Anyway, only time will tell.Becki567 said:I would be surprised if you were in process already. The spreadsheet shows must of September's applicants are just going into process.
