Hmm - I am about 6/7 weeks behind you application wise and I have had nothing.

I just cant understand how some people in the spread sheet have been approved in less than 100 days I mean really!

My Wife is Currently with my on atourist visa. She landed for 6 months then for a 1 year extension! We have not been apart this entire time...Sucks though because she cant work but we made it work. Do you think its a possibility for you ?:) Dont worry its worth the wait!

I could do that do but then like you said, can't work and I have a good job here in the UK so reluctant to leave it especially as there is a possibility of getting a transfer to Canada when my PR comes through. We are trying to be practical but the emotional strain is hard to bear these days.

I spoke to my lawyer the other day and she told me that London is receiving overflow from other visa offices ( I didn't confirm what exactly is being sent) Also that silly strike has probably added to the processing time average.
I just looked at some other threads and there does seem to be some transfer of files going on from the other visa offices to the London office.

I totally feel for you on that we had that option too ( not the transfer good for you!) but due to the timing it didnt make sense for us. Based on timelines either this summer( late) or fall this ordeal should be over.

Great well two confirmations...not in our favor but there you go.. at least we know.

Also I am sure everyone knows this already but my Lawyer reiterated to me that London NEVER sends AOR ( if you get one lucky you)

I will know in the next few weeks if the transfer will happen. If it will then I'll have to bear the pain and stick it out until my PR comes through. If not, I'll have to consider leaving my job and going to Canada as a visitor to be with my husband.

Yeh. I dont know your circumstance but if it was me I would go. Bear in mind not working for a long time comes with its own issues...you essentially are dependent ( not necessarily financially) on your husband so make sure you have stuff to fill your time with..studies..friends or whatever because it can get boring fast. Also coming through the border you should be fine but make sure you have an entry package good to go. My wife got pulled over for a secondary where she had to prove ties to Iceland ECT so there is a chance if you get a very grumpy CBSA officer you could get denied if they think you are coming into Canada with the intention to not leave.

Main reason for me not going right now is because of the potential job transfer.

I actually got pulled over when I was visiting my husband in Aug 2013. They wanted to ensure I had ties to the UK and let me go after they finished questioning me for about 10 mins.

Does anyone know the difference between criminality and security?

We have been stuck on criminality for 5 months which my MP said is done by a third party but when I got my gcms notes today it says security not started. Ugh
