It looks as if there is a Typo on the Spreadsheet. Correct me if I am wrong.

CDAN's timelime from "Application received in Mississauga" (March 27) to "Decision Made" (November 25) should not be 359 days as is written under "Total time to process" It should be 243. There may be other errors as well but this is one I noticed rather quickly. I am not sure if this affects the Average Processing Time that is calculated, but it may be skewing the results a bit.

I was also thinking that because there is often very different timelines from DM to delivery of (correct) COPR (as is the case with ghunter and Zardoz), should we also track that as well? Just a thought.

I would strongly suggest that when all this is over, you apply for your GCMS notes via ATIP and find out exactly what the hell was going on..

I received mine yesterday and I have to say that it was very obvious that they started to screw up on mine from almost day 1. Rather than detecting the error, they just blindly propagated it all the way through until the faulty COPR arrived on my doorstep.
I ordered the GCSM notes basically the minute that they emailed me telling me the new document was sent. In a way I don't even want to see the notes, the incompetency at London has been unimaginable, but I am so curious as to what they were doing for the 45 days it took to re-issue...

I think a COPR arrival time might be a good idea, but it is complicated with everyone living all over the place - might be a unreliable statistic for that. If there is a way to do it I think it could be very valuable, I ended up stalking my mail man way earlier than needed. Perhaps other spreadsheet admins have some comments?

There are often people asking how long it took other people to receive their COPR in certain geographies. We could add 3 columns. 1. Country of application. 2. City. 3. Number of days between DM and COPR arrival. This won't be perfect but it could give an idea, or else we carry on as we are.

I have a question about ordering these notes.

I would like to order them at the right time to help determine if we are on the "should be interviewed" list or not. I have seen others who have ordered the notes and knew they would not be called for an interview from the notes in the report BEFORE a decision was made.

The reason I would like to know this is to just help prepare. My husband is in Canada with me so it would require last minute (potentially expensive) flights. Also, we are aware that an interview may be called we will have an idea where their concern is. I have seen people who did not have time to receive their notes before their interview.

So I want to order them. But am not sure WHEN to order them that would be most beneficial. Also, can they see that we have ordered notes and does that penalize or change their view at all?

Thanks for you help.

it won't penalize you - as long as you order the electronic version. If you order the physical notes, they have to pull your file from whatever queue it is in, and that creates delay. but electronic notes is fine.

When to order? difficult to say. I would say, roughly you can order them maybe after 3 to 4 months of being approved as a sponsor, London should have started opening your file at that point, and you might have some initial notes. As you're in Canada, as well as your husband, it's free ( he should be the one ordering, as a sponsor you won't learn much about your file, it's the notes on the applicant's file that has the information). So if you want, you can order a set now, and one in 6 weeks to see if something has changed...

thanks for noticing. I've corrected the mistake and added a few formulas in the columns calculating (for 2013, didn't change anything for 2012) the total time for sponsor approval, 2nd stage, and process. Should make it a little easier.
I haven't touched any of the average calculations as I wasn't involved in the original set up and do not want to mess it up!.

Thank you for your reply. I had my husband use this link that I found in the forum - https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/
But it says you have to be a citizen or a permanent resident to use it. Which would then mean only I could use it.

Ah.. He didn't use the Privacy Act option. That's why.

Credit card, if your request is being made under the Access to Information Act:
There is a $5.00 application fee for these requests. (There are no fees under the Privacy Act).

Yes. As a visa-exempt person, you can travel to Canada on just the strength of your passport. When you get to Canadian immigration, just tell them you haven't received your card yet, they will swipe your passport and bring up your PR details.

You will get the notes fine, I have been getting mine under the Access for Information Act all along and have recieved them all in the 30 days.

Seems to be the exact same, except one you need to pay for!

Considering my file's been done for a while now, can I request my GCMS notes still? And can I get the physical files? While I'm at it, who's name do I request it under, me or the wife's (she was the sponsor)?

I never thought I'd ever order the notes, but I'm kind of curious now...
