Exciting times! I know it would be better to land with COPR in hand, but at least you get to see your partner soon and get settled in! I really hope you get your COPR soon.

Hi,
I will suggest you send an email to the VO's office. Though they are on strike but they are still working. And a lot of people has been answered. 2 years of waiting is a long time. Send email to them, it does not hurt to do so.

Goodluck,

Anyone else noticed the online services portal has changed, including the ability to be able to update your address without having to send an email.

I've noticed it has a section for home address and mailing address which is new to me.

My mailing address is currently blank but it seems that to save anything on the form you have to check 'Please remove the ability for me or anyone else to view the status of my application and address information on this Web site.' which is strange. Why would I want to do this?

e-CAS changing has broken the Android app that allowed you to easily check on your mobile phone.
I guess it will be updated at some point, but it scared the crap out of my wife when it reported that it couldn't find our application any more. It's still there however.

(fixed - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oscd.ecas )

On a side note, has anyone who had an e-CAS status change from London to "DM" last week heard anything? We have heard nothing at all and we were expecting "something".

Hi All

I finally received my CORP yesterday (29th) hip hip horray !!! :D... Now off to the USA to dance around the Flagpole.. LOL..... it would seems they are still working in London, so if you've received Decision Made around the same time as me it should arrive shortly... they did have to send it to Canada as I'm here on vacation so it took about 9 days including the weekend to arrive.

I have one quick question, if I'm in Canada now and I wish to certify my CORP but I do not have a list with me of my home contents to ship at a later date does anyone know what the correct procedure is ??

Thanks

"It should now be evident to all Canadians that the Government bears sole and complete responsibility for the severe and mounting impacts of this strike – on tourism, on education, and on the agricultural sector.” (http://www.pafso.com/news_releases.php?newsID=160)

It does infuriate me of the short sightedness that it isn't just economical and about the points made above, but also the anguish of thousands of families suffering through this process too. Apologies for my venting this afternoon.

Still, the sun is shining and time to get on my bike.

Have a super week everyone!

Congrats on the COPR, that's great!

About landing and the list: you have to do it when you land ( which I suppose is what you mean by "certifying the COPR"), if you don't do it at the same time, you won't be able to import things duty free later on. There is 2 forms (B4) for list of things that you're bringing into the country now (not much, as you're already in Canada), and one for "goods to follow" - but both have to get stamped the day you land. So if you can, make a rough list of what you intend to bring later on, get that stamped at the border when you complete the landing procedures at the US/Canada border.

Good luck,
Sweden

CoPR arrived...

However, it seems that London is once again being run by untrained staff.
They have applied "Conditional PR" to my document even though we have been married for over eight years.
I can't be bothered to argue with them over it as there is no way that it would stand up to scrutiny and I have no reason to believe that would ever be invoked. It does however go to show that they really are clueless there.

Sigh.. even at the last hurdle, they try to bring us down...

(Update: - I've raised a Case Specific Enquiry to get things clarified.)

I actually don't know what the conditional PR means... who gets that one and who gets unconditional? Would be fun to know just for the future, if they ever get to my file and give me one of those COPR's. :D
