There were a few issues with my application, all stemming from some bad advice I got from London. Right before I sent of my application, I sent the HC an email asking if I should submit my medical with the application. Obviously, that seems obvious now after all my experience gained on this forum! London emailed back and told me categorically NOT to complete my medical until advised. Back when I applied, it stated that you had to bring a form with you to get your medical done and that this form was "usually" given to you by CIC once your application reached a certain stage. The process has been greatly simplified now. No more forms to bring for Family Class!MCARTER82 said:Thank you DGT! 8 months is better than 11! I'm headed back to the UK next week for work Been off work since March here in Canada. We are married. Did you go through as common-law or married?
Did you have any big issues with yours?
So, I had to do my medical midway through the application process which caused a delay. I also lost my passport halfway through processing which delayed both my medical (as I couldn't get it done without my passport) and the COPR.
As for me, we've been married for 4 years, together for 8!
