When are you going to land?

Thanks! Yeah I'm happy with how quickly it arrived. When I'm landing depends entirely on my wife, she's not too well at the minute so the drive down to Niagara (about 3 hours) might be a bit much for her. I might ask the in-laws for a lift.

This was after another query on what was going on? my advice if your worried email!!!! I asked because my forces visa runs out on the 31st may and my Alberta health goes with it !! remember guys there probably is a limit to what you can ask but you are PAYING for a service!!!!

Did you have to apply for and send the RCMP certificate yourself? If this is just an internal RCMP certificate it should be very quick - if that's the case I'd wait a couple of days and then email again. Just say something like 'I spoke to an immigration specialist who told me that RCMP certificates are usually delivered very quickly, so I am wondering if there are any issues with my file and anything I can do to help resolve them'

Yeah I had to get it myself. I had it delivered by courier and the online tracking says it was delivered weeks ago. From what I've seen on the forum though, that doesn't necessarily mean they have it so I wanted confirmation that they got it. This "upon receipt" thing has sent me into a bit of a tailspin!

We are mailing our application tomorrow, and I am just wondering if anyone has sent theirs from within Canada before (we are sending it from Calgary), and if so what mail or courier do they use? Just Canada Post with tracking?

it says "upon receipt AND review"....so most likely, they have received it, but they haven't reviewed it yet - so if you have the tracking that they have received it, I don't think there is anything to worry about....

Okay, so, I've not heard anything back from london. I sent them again the receipt for right for permenant resident fee last week, over a week ago and I emailed them to see if they got it and they replied that they didn't! So I emailed them it again and asked them for confirmation of getting it for my documentation and I got nothing back so far! Only 3 days but still! I'm just tired of waiting! You pay for the darn thing you'd think they'd know eh! I sent a case specific enquiry last week and attached the receipt and that's when they said they didn't receive it. So I just replied via email last night and attached the receipt. I'm all worried they didn't get it again! I mean I paid all this a year ago and they got the "receipt" for the processing fee but not the permenant resident fee! Ugh!!! Calm me down someone....tell me it'll be alright!?!?!?

I would be raging to. Its one thing to be understanding of CIC i.e shortage of staff or perhaps the time it takes to do security checks etc. But thats not what is causing the issues and makes me angry its the complete lack of competence; lost files, can't locate documents which have been sent more than once, forgotten files just laying around the list goes on and on....

I hope you get it resolve UK2Can, you have been waiting just as long as me..

I was advised on here to reply direct to the email. That is what I did, and attached a 'read receipt' request, which I got. It doesn't prove a human read my email but it proves that it was received and someone/thing read it.

The notes people are talking about are the GCMS notes. Some applicants which are required to attend an interview will order them to help understand what information CIC are looking for, some people order them to find out why there file is taking sooooo long. You can request a copy although it does take about 4-6 weeks to get them to you.

I'm not aware of any way that will affect your application. As you have a dependent being sponsored too, I'm not entirely sure though.

The instructions you get with the COPR ask you not to fold the forms. Somewhere in the postal system, someone kindly folded everything up for me though!

I highly doubt this would cause a problem, but would someone let me know if any issues could arise from it before I make the 6 hour round trip to the border?

Right, so just got an email this morning asking for the Right of Permanent Resident Fee. No "In Process" or nothing on eCAS. So I've just paid it and sent the receipt via email. I do need to send in hard copies to both Mississauga and London right?

Don't believe so, I have had a look at the instructions and it just asks you to email the receipt with the link provided..
