i hate that its not a set time because I have to give 4 weeks notice at my job and i hate it! i want to quit NOW!!!!!!!
I dont want my visa and then have to wait 4 weeks to leave because i have to work notice!
I know and it does suck but the CHC website in London says it takes 6 months to process so if you get yours early, you are lucky. :D

So I'm really hoping this is my week... We went into process on February the 3rd and I was exactly the same timeline as MikeUK who I think got his PPR last week, so fingers, toes, arms, legs and everything crossed.

Just a question for you guys. We are about to send our app, outland and via London. I am sending 8 photos, the size specified in Appendix B. They are all stamped on the back from the pharmacy that we got them at. I am unsure wether to should sign all, or one or none. It seems to be region specific but I fail to see anything about it in the guide.

When we put our application together, we went with one as per the guide. Hope this helps! (link is below)

•Photos: Ask a photographer to provide you with a set of photos of yourself and each of your family members included in your application, whether they will be accompanying you or not. The required number of photos for each individual is indicated at Appendix A, under PHOTOS. Photos must comply with specifications given at Appendix B , Photo Specifications. Make sure you give a copy of these specifications to the photographer.
◦On the back of one photo (and only one) in each set, write the name and date of birth of the person appearing in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.
◦Enclose each set of photos in separate envelopes. Write the family member’s name, date of birth and relationship to you on the corresponding envelope and close the envelope with a paper clip.
◦Photos must not be stapled, scratched, bent or bear any ink marks.
Note that the visa office may also require additional photos at a later date.

Thanks for that. Rather annoying that the photographer stamped the back of each of the eight photos. Would it be okay to sign the back of one of the photos.

Hi there,

We sent 8 photos they were stamped on the back. I didn`t sign them and they were fine. We applied outland through London.

Good luck!

Hey Crillz, I would do what the guide says and sign just one. We had stamps on ours too but left them blank because the guide requests one to be signed .. kinda figured it was in our best interest to do what they said LOL

Not sign - write your name.

You have to read the notes ;D

Let me get this straight... I probably won't hear anything now from London until I either get documents requested or a PPR?

Also there is a very unlikely chance I could be waiting up to 6 months? I don't understand how some cases are done in 6 WEEKS and some take twice as long if not more... why is that?

London probably don't even have my case yet lol and i've got a bad feeling there's a long road ahead... :'(

Don't panic,

The light at the end of the tunnel is not a freight train :)

Please note, after reading ALL the relevant immigration documentation, I can categorically declare:

There is no clause, paragraph, appendix, note, section or sub-section that states the process will be easy...
So, even if all hell breaks loose, rest assured that everything is going to plan (as far as CIC are concerned).

I had my entire application sent back to me at the first stage (sponsorship) from Mississauga because we missed a signature on one of the forms AND we didn't include the name of the applicant and the date it was taken on the back of one photo per set. However, other people on this forum never touched the back of their passport photos with a pen and they were fine! So I guess it depends on who reviews your application, but I would rather be safe than sorry...Saying that, having forgotten the above we were delayed by approx. 2 weeks or so. Not the end of the world but really frustrating.
