Off to see the latest Bond movie to get my mind off my wife's COPR application!! It's a bit chilly in Kamloops today!!
Hey ants21,antz21 said:Random question to do with the spreadsheet - what does AOR mean? I know the answer is somewhere on these forums I just can't find it!
How will I know if London has received my application after the sponsor is approved? Just cross my fingers and wait to here some more or for ECAS to be updated?
Thanks guys
Congrats! and - same here! finally got COPR in hands, landing tomorrow! When are you landing?seamyb said:Great news, my COPR arrived today!!!!

My husband's medical expires on December 12th and his application began being processed on Nov 12. He received an email from a caseworker asking if he could land in Canada by Dec 12 and if not they would submit an application for an extension of his medical. Which is what we've opted to do. From our understanding, if his medical cannot be extended then he will simply have to have another one. I'm assuming that since both of your medicals have already expired they will submit a request for an extension without first contacting you.
I'll keep you posted on how long it takes for us to hear about his medical extension. From what the caseworker said, it should be all good and fine in time for my husband to move to Canada in February 2013.

I've just received a letter stating that the Additional Family Information form (IMM5406) is missing. I don't know how I missed it. good news is - they have your application and they are looking at it! keep positive
Can someone explain to me how to fill in Section A?
My boyfriend is the applicant and I'm the sponsor. We are applying under 'common-law' status. What do we put for marital status? Do we just write common-law? yes - leave it as it is. It's pre-printed, so just leave it. You're common law, and that's why you are applying together.
Secondly, where it says spouse or common law - is that just where he puts my details in? I find it a bit odd that he needs to fill in my details - again.not sure what you are referring to here. You go on the first line as applicant. He goes on the second line as sponsor, and common law partner. then line 3 and 4 are applicants' mother and father.
then it says "if you don't have a common law, sign here - leave it blank
Finally, my boyfriend's family is not in touch with one of his half-brothers. The brother lives in Australia and that's all we know. Do we put him down, and just write address unknown? Also, one of his half-brothers died, do we write him on the form as well? yes - write everybody. Then add an additional paper explaining why you don't have the address of the one in Australia, and the fact that one died (sorry about that).
Thank for any advice - so gutted that we forgot to put this form in. I can only imagine how long this is going to add to the processing time. don't think about it too much, it might not impact your application too much, maybe a few weeks...
GOod luck,

Mine was actually issued on the 5th of November, the day they started processing my application apparently...

YES!!! congrats, that's great to hear! if they had doubts, they would have contacted you for extra documents, or interview. So - if they haven't then it means it's an approval! now you have to wait about 10 days before the COPR makes it to Canada (if the postman doesn't deliver it to the neighbour as for mine, but hopefully not!) then you're done!Herjeet said:Just checked my ECAS and it's now indicating Decision Made for PR. Not sure what to feel as we do not know what the decision is! Can anyone shed some light in regards to if we were declined, would they have contacted us first or is it just a waiting game until CIC contact my Mrs's? Thanks.
thanks Sweden!! That put my mind to ease!!! Off for a drink now!!Sweden said:YES!!! congrats, that's great to hear! if they had doubts, they would have contacted you for extra documents, or interview.
