Nope, no emails. But I do know of a couple of people who emailed London and received replies stating when the passport was posted.
You will probably be without your passport for another 3 weeks or so.

Thanks for quick reply... I hope 3weeks! I cant wait to be back to my partner... Just want to book flights b4 they get crazy expensive! not knowing when passport returns makes booking flights a bit tricky...

Yeah I wouldnt book anything until the passport is safely in your hands. Hopefully nothing will go wrong, but if it does you dont want to be doubly screwed.
Good luck!

So let me see if I've understood this correctly - as of December 1st there will no longer be PPR once the application for Permanent Residency is approved? I take it the counterfoil is what is put in your passport when you send it to London?

Sorry if I'm sounding a tad daft, just trying to get my head around it as I'd imagine it will be enforced by the time our application is approved! ???

Yeah I think so. When they request your passport they attach a visa in it. This is a one time entry visa, but since some countries are visa exempt, they could enter Canada without it.
I am thinking that they'll just send a COPR in the mail, and perhaps request updated information like the currently do with the PPR.
I'm sure more details will follow.

Hi guys!

My post yesterday clearly worked some karmic magic: woke up this morning to find my PPR email waiting in my inbox! ;D ;D ;D

I feel so light and happy! Now to just get all the stuff together and get it sent off!

Good luck to all of those still waiting - seems like they're moving again at last! xx

Me too me too!!!! Woke up to PR by email. I found it interesting they requested 2 photos. I wish I knew about that, would have had them ready.. Hooorray!!! It took 2 months, 2 days in London, not bad eh? Bear in mind I lived in 3 countries, so they had way more stuff to check.
