Just logged into ECAS today and its been updated.
I now have medical results received.
Anyone else have an update today? I didnt think they updated until Tuesdays?
Does that mean my file made it to LONDON already?

ecas can be updated at anytime.

Mississauga spelled my name wrong and I have sent London 2 emails and one letter asking them to change it. Was feeling really fed up with the process this morning, but now when I checked ecas again in the evening, they have corrected the spelling of my name, so something is definitely happening. I am soooo happy! ;D

Me too, I was able to logged into ecas - with the note of Medical Received.
then this means they are processing our file in London

Happy for all you guys who have had ecas updated!!

I think they're not bothering with mine, which is rather annoying! Just wish they had consistency. We can only log in with my sponsor's ID and it says nothing more than the date that CIC-M received the file and approved him as sponsor. Wow - tell me something I don't know! Just hope they have the file and the medicals already.

When I first went to see an advisor about applying, she warned me as I left her office to file away our ecas login once we got it and to avoid looking on there as it's so unreliable - wish I'd listened to her!!

It's just so hard not to check though, right? And I can't work while we're processing as I'm still in Canada, so I'm just desperate to hear news and get my life off pause! Anyway, I know we're all in the same boat, which helps. Everyone keep their chin up - with or without ecas, we'll get there in the end!! xx

No, not processing it, just that they have received it.
When they begin processing, you will get another ecas update stating the date they began processing.

How long does it take from when they start processing it till the date they reach decision on the application and does every application require to have interview conducted? If so does that add more time to the standard processing time?

The processing time varies between cases. It depends on various factors, your past, kids, record etc. All these things can effect the processing times. Not every application requires an interview no, in fact I would say that in the London office, most do not.

Don't think so. I think letters are just by regular mail and they send passports with registered mail, but royal mail all the same.
