Hi there, somehow I was put onto the Pakistan 2016 spreadsheet. I should be on the London 2016 sheet, location should be Winnipeg, MB and meds done Oct 12 2016. The rest of the info is correct.

Thanks!
Wow - so you moved from Karachi to Manitoba - respect!

Only kidding! Spreadsheet updated.

Best of luck, glad things are moving quickly! Lucky you with Ottawa, first 2017 person to be confirmed as through Ottawa too! :) All added, and thanks a bunch for posting your info! :D

Do I need a new UK PCC when applying for my new application? I lived in Uk for 4years between 2012 to 2016. I applied for common law and i submitted my UK PCC but got refused the reasons been that the officer was not satisfied that i cohabited for 1 year with my partner, right now, im planning to get married in march and reapply in may this year. I'm confused whether I need a new UK PCC for my new application in may since I have not been to the UK since my last application and I won't be going there again

Police certificates are only considered valid for 6 months. So if your current certificate is (or will be) more than 6 months old by the time you send in you application, then yes, you should have a new one.

Depends on what you mean by 'new'. Check the spreadsheet home page, the table at the bottom on the left hand side - 7 decisions made by the London office during the month of January 2017.

They are not exactly on performance enhancing steroids this month are they!! :D

For those that have landed or flown to canada to complete their landing, did you have to have an ETA to board a flight in order to complete the landing process or is the COPR all that is required? Thanks - just received ours and wanted to be sure what the procedure is for UK passport holders.

Oh that one!!

According to CIC, No you only need your CoPR.

BUT - the airlines seem to be in a muddle and have, according to several passengers, INSISTED that the CoPR is not enough (even when confronted with the entry on the CIC website!) and have insisted on an ETA before they allow you to board.

So the safe bet would be to simply apply online for the ETA, unless you like stress, hassle and arguments with airline staff!

My wife will be in the same position when we do our PR trip in April and to save on hassle, we now have an ETA on her (she is a UK citizen with the CoPR).

Read all about it here (including the CIC link).

Thanks Hurlabrick! Helpful info... And no, arguing myself blue in the face with airline staff with two kids and two dogs in tow is not an attractive option at all....even with official web references and papers. I guess, I will go ahead and apply for an ETA. Any idea how many months or weeks in advance we can apply?

Apply online for an ETA now if you want! Costs a princely $CAD7 and is valid for 5 years or the duration of the passport (whichever is less).

Confirmation in minutes, but deffo in 72 hours at the very outside (my wifes took 20 minutes). Strongly suggest you print and keep the confirmation.

Apply here:
