Brilliant, atleast I have some kind of ballpoint timeframe now. Thank you. With a bit of luck it will be closer to the month mark, so I can start looking for work and having something resembling a normal life again in time for summer here. And I suppose then if they reject my application atleast we can get a cheap flights back to England before it shoots up for the kids holidays!IndividualLikeEveryoneEls said:Congratulations CattAdams, really happy for you. I'm still trying to imagine what it will feel like to get the green light, must be pretty amazing!
Kelly, from what I have heard it takes another 1-2 months from requesting additional documentation. Hopefully nearer the 1 month mark for you. CanadaPost has a phone number you can call 1 888 550 6333. Maybe they can provide more info about your package?
Finally after much procrastination and nerves I bit the bullet and called CHC London today to ask about my case. Pressed zero at the automated message to speak to a human (although not an option, it works). The lady I spoke with asked how long I had been waiting. I told her that it had been 3 months since e-CAS had changed its status to "decision made". She told me that was indeed a very long time, which was slightly encouraging, and so put me through to the immigration department. Unfortunately this was just a voicemail so I left a detailed message. If I don't hear anything by next Tuesday (Monday is Victoria day so presumably a holiday for CHC London), I'll give it another go.
I shall remember the pressing 0 trick incase I need to contact them myself. Fingers crossed they get back to you sharpish, it seems like such a bizarre amount of time to wait after they have made the decision.. you've been incredibly patient!
