Sorry for the lapse in communication, I got kind of tied up in trying to forget about my situation by not looking at the spreadsheet or forum so that I wouldn't be reminded how badly two little mistakes have screwed me!

So an update of my situation; I resent my application at the end of January, and according to the letter they send you they received my application on the 27th of November. However, I found out why it took so long for them to send my application back after I sent it in September, and it was because I sent to the P.O. box for people living in canada (a fair assumption I personally think seeing as I am living in Canada, but anyway). So I didn't realize this is the inland box, which is why I had nearly a 90 day turnaround for them to send my app back, even though everyone else was getting SA in 30 days. I didn't realize this until I'd sent it back to the same box a second time however, and when I realized I emailed CIC three times asking if they could move it to the right P.O. box but no one replied, so although I should be getting SA any day, for all I know its still going to sit on the inland pile for another two months until they realize its an outland application. So yeah.

So my new information for the spreadsheet is

Let me know if you need anything else, sorry again for falling off the map, still really annoyed about the consequences of that chain of events, and how different it could have been if they things were labelled properly (i.e. inland and outland) or if they could have just requested 2 new forms for the out of date ones rather than sending my whole app back and making me resubmit it, without any heads up that I sent it to the wrong address the first time.

The same thing happened to me. Well, I couriered my application to the Mississauga address (not the PO box, but the actual address) and it was an OUTLAND application, I used the outland sponsorship kit, with all the outland forms, etc. Having heard nothing from them in 3 months, I called CIC call centre who informed me that my application was registered as INLAND.

Jan 30th: I called the CIC call centre who informed me that they would send a message to CPC Mississagua to correct the error.
February 14th: I received a new AOR
February 25th: I received Sponsor Approval - Outland

The whole turnaround from switching the application from inland to outland took about a month, so don't worry, you should hear from them soon!

Hey! My wife checked our application for sponsorship today and it says 'decision made' on the 23rd of February and they have sent mail regarding the decision etc. strange as last time they emailed to say they received the application. Any ideas?

Also my address will change to a Uk one if they do not decide before the 22nd of April. Any ideas when is best to let them know this?

Finally, will I get my own UCI or will it be all under my wife (the sponsor)

Did you get Decision Made under Stage 1 or Stage 2? It sounds like it was just for Sponsor Approval (Stage 1)... and based on where you are in the timeline, I'm assuming that is the case!

Your wife, the sponsor, will receive either an email or a letter in the post (be sure to check your spam/junk too) with details of the sponsor approval. The letter will also include the address of the CIC office where your application has been sent for Stage 2 processing - Mississauga, Ottawa, or London.

The UCI number on that file will be your wife's UCI as this stage of the process only pertains to her. You will have your own UCI but you likely won't know what it is. However, your wife will be able to see your part of the processing when she logs into ECAS with her details, so just go with that.

I've updated you on the spreadsheet, let us know when you know which office your application has gone to!

As for the address, inform CIC the day or day after you actually move. There are details in the guide about how to contact them with a change of address.

Thanks! I will let you know what office it is sent to. Under her ECAS it says my approval is being worked on and that they have received the medical, so assuming the sponsorship is approved. Wish they would email rather than post though. Nothing in junk or inbox as of now.

Very happy that we have some news, chances are high that I will have to leave job and return to UK, but looks like there have been some quick turn arounds after sponsorship approval (a few days in some case?) so you never know!

When I changed my address with CIC London office it took 4 weeks before it showed on the online system after i contacted them so you might be worth setting up mail forwarding just to be safe when you move.

If you provided an email then you SHOULD receive it on email, but no guarantees. If you haven't heard anything by the end of next week then just drop CPC-M an email saying that your ECAS changed to DM but you haven't heard anything.

If your application goes to Mississauga, then yes, hearing quickly is possible... but that's IF you go to Mississauga. If you go to Ottawa or London then expect more "average" processing times.

its worried!! i ranged them on monday afternoon on 23rd and the guy i spoke to on the phone said "that my file in still "In Process" and everything it seems fine i should i hear from them really soon", after i hanged up i checked the status and still was showing "In Process", i left it for the day woke up next day getting ready to work thought to myself let me check maybe the guy pressed Complete Button or something, however i checked it and it saying Decision Made!! i was shocked didnt go to work lol , I thought maybe the man i spoke to maybe and im SAYING AGAIN maybe while im on the phone with him he checked my file and click on button took 24 hrs and hey HAPPY DAYS!!

My application was delivered on 20th Jan, still no update on website but just wondering if the AR date is when you sent it in? If so can I get added to the SS??

If you would like to be added to the spreadsheet please provide:
-Date application received in Mississauga
-Whether you applied as Married or Common-Law
-Date of sponsor approval
-Which office is processing Phase 2 of your application (will say on your sponsor approval letter/email)
-Date(s) of any other requests you've had
-Whether or not the principal applicant is non-visa exempt
-Current location of the principal applicant- closest major city is fine if you don't want to be too specific!

And Yes, Application Received in the spreadsheet is when the Mississauga office receives your application. If you used a courier service they your AR date is when they signed for it.

AOR = acknowledgement of receipt. Because of the increase in processing time for stage 1 Mississauga has started issuing AOR's to let people know they have their application. They generally send out AOR's once the processing time has elapsed, so add on 84 days (the current processing time) to January 20th and you should have an AOR by then, with sponsor approval (SA) following shortly after.

I got my request for CSQs today, as my boyfriend and I are currently residing in Quebec, and I just want to make sure that these are the right forms I am supposed to be filling out and sending?

Excepting Application for selection certificate, Payment by credit card and Declaration of sponsor abroad - Family class, forms must be filled out in French. The English translations are included only to help you do so accurately.

Sponsor’s guide - Family class (PDF, 540 Kb)
Undertaking application form - Family class (Dynamic PDF, 167 Kb). You and the cosignatory, if any, must complete and sign two copies of this form.
Documents submitted in support of the undertaking application (Dynamic PDF, 1 200 Kb)
Sponsor’s or Co-signatory Spouse’s Declaration of Authorization (Dynamic PDF, 91 Kb)
Guide for sponsored persons - Family class (PDF, 180 Kb)
Application for selection certificate - Family class (Dynamic PDF, 814 Kb)

If you are paying your application processing fee by credit card, you must fill out the form Payment by credit card, sign it and enclosed it with your application:

I have a DECISION MADE! I still do not know where it was processes as the letter has not yet arrived that they sent on Monday. I assume Mississauga and I assume Decision Made is a YES?

Do you have a decision made on both the Sponsorship Application and the Permanent Resident Application? If so it sounds like your file stayed in Mississauga!
