Hope you are alright. I was in a car accident last Oct before my hubby was staying with me. And I know what you mean about the emails. I mentioned to my husband that the request comes by email and the last one he got from buffalo ended up in his spam, so he's paranoid he's deleted something by accident. He sent a case specific enquiry today since we are now over the "11 month" mark but I'm sure nothing will come of it. The last update from my MP was in June and they were still "pending review" of the criminal rehab application.

Yeah, we had a similar issue too, my bf had a criminal record from when he was a teenager, but that got resolved, I bet we have the same immigration officer! " the complicated cases"
They should be sending letters, email isn't that reliable at all.

We got an ecas update Saturday saying we went in process on Wednesday. If the past is any indication we're hopeful that is a sign of something wonderful coming soon.... ::)

To all the people who asked,

Yes the PPR was via email. We're not sure whether we'll get one by snail mail as well. Our ECAS status is still "In process" however. We had several updates to our ECAS along the way, pretty much at every major step (application received, forwarded to buffalo, application received by buffalo, "In Process", and recently medical results received).

We are soooooooooo excited!

Also, to everyone still waiting on news about their application, hang in there! We know how hard it is, but it WILL go through and all the anxiety will be worth it.

We sent originals only where the application requested originals (the medical form receipt and the police certificates). Everything else we sent was just a regular copy or color copy (not certified). My printer/scanner/copier can do color, so I used that for some things, like the copies of passports.

Thank you for the response! Did you have a lawyer certify any of the copies? I am assuming you didn't because you didn't mention it, but checking to make sure...it is so confusing!

Thanks again!

Just FYI -

We sent a case specific email to Buffalo last week, indicating that my husband's medicals will be expiring in Sept.

We asked if we should re-do his medicals, or if his application for PR was at the final stages should we not bother. Our hope is that we would get some glimmer of information if we are at the final stage, but also get information if we should start to look about a new medical.

A reply the same day, stating that we do not have to redo the medical and that have forwarded an email to Ottawa to extend the medical. I'm assuming this news is hopeful, at this point hope is all we got.

Also we got an updated CAIPS notes last week, and his medical information was entered and assessed. (Never got any notice of his medical received from ECAS).

Silly question - we're still just at "Received application in Buffalo July 5th, 2011" - when are people hearing the "Interview waived"? Is that once (eventually) my husband moves to the "In process" part? We sent in complete application 5/5/11, got the sponsorship ok email, then the "received" one (which came 7/29 - but says they got it 7/5)

Glad to see earlier groups are moving forward!

Just got a letter asking for the "Right of Landing Fee", what is that? There is no right of landiding fee on the cic website! According to the info on the website I have paid all my fees. Could it possibly be the RPRF which I payed on April 8th, but do have the reciept still?

Not everyone receives "interview waived" or "medical received". My husband's file went straight from "in process" to "a decision has been made" without any messages in between (and he was approved without an interview).

Yes - the right of landing fee is RPRF.

No, we sent the few originals that were requested and everything else was just a regular copy (nothing was certified by a lawyer.) Though if we had not gotten married in Canada, I might have certified the marriage certificate...but since we got married here in Canada, I figured they could check it if they needed to...

Congrats to everyone for the PR. I was of the same time line as Tiggiliscious and markleton so hoping to receive the email soon.

Congrats to everyone who received PR! ;D
We are still waiting for news...
