Got an email from ecas tracker saying hubby is in process! No aor tho, other than when I emailed them three weeks ago asking for our file number and they gave us both the b and f numbers so we could mail his birth certificate in.

Anyone know if there's a Lot of americans in nova scotia? Fourth of July hubby was all sad from no festivities going on , and it has me curious!

Hey Tiggilicious, that's great! I received my E-cas update last Saturday. By Monday I had the PPR! Let's hope the same happens for you. Good luck!

+1 here! The Fourth of July was indeed a quiet day for me here in Halifax. But on Canada Day I woke up and after Oh Canada I played America the Beautiful on the piano... my husband promptly told me to knock it off.

Yikes! I'm hoping this is just an isolated case - I just got an email saying that "no further action is required" but it doesn't specify if my meds or CSQ or anything else made it to them. According to MICC, my CSQ was forwarded on April 5th, but i don't know if that will show up on e-Cas or anything. So far my e-Cas still says nothing but "application received," though with the new file number I got today, I am now able to log onto it under my name, not just my husband's.

*deep breaths* Anyone gone through Québec who can tell us whether or not we receive any kind of confirmation that Buffalo has received our CSQ/Undertakings?

We did not receive any sort of confirmation regarding the receipt of the CSQ despite the fact that I had emailed to inquire. Finally, we emailed, faxed, and sent a hard copy of the CSQ, so at least one of those (or the one sent from the MICC) made it into the file. But the not-knowing was indeed frustrating.

I don't know what to do anymore, it's been almost a year since we sent the application, (aug 2010)
didn't get any news this week I guess they're taking their time reviewing the additional info( we sent additional common law proof), I'm just worried that his medicals are going to expire before they issue PPR

I am so sorry. Have you already requested your CAIPS notes?

+1 here! The Fourth of July was indeed a quiet day for me here in Halifax. But on Canada Day I woke up and after Oh Canada I played America the Beautiful on the piano... my husband promptly told me to knock it off.

When we were at the consulate in Halifax, we had asked them if the consulate knows of anything going on in the province. They said they just do their reception with staff and that was it. They did say PEI does something since theres quite a few Americanas there... but thats quite the drive from the Valley

I got an ECAS update today too. It said "We started processing your application on July 12, 2011" Sparkle, can you please revise my in process date from June to July. It seems the general email they sent to me last month was not accurate. Thank you...and here's to quick processing of everyone's files.

That happened with us too, as we got the b and f file numbers in the email response. But sometimes they are late updating ecas, sometimes they don't even update it at all.

Yeah, that's what I was curious about as I know most people get the "application received" on ecas within a couple of weeks .

On a side note, buffalo responded to my email with info!
I asked them for my file number as I haven't got an aor yet, and I wanted to send his birth certificate in. They emailed me back with the f# and a b#. am I supposed to have two??
I logged into his ecas and it still only says apication received (which is the same info I get on mine when I look on the applicant side). So I'm wondering what's up with that if it means were in process and we just didn't get the email? Or If u get a file # even before being in process?

We got two file numbers too a F and the a B....i wonder why? And my Ecas still the same "Application received"
