Just wanted to give a quick update that my wife received her visa on August 25th =)

Dear spiritrac, Could you tell us how long it took for you guys to get your passport back after you sent it in? Right now we're waiting more than 2 weeks and just want to know that this is still normal. Thanks.

Also, to everyone still waiting on news about their application, hang in there! We know how hard it is, but it WILL go through and all the anxiety will be worth it.

To all the people who asked, Yes the PPR was via email. We're not sure whether we'll get one by snail mail as well. Our ECAS status is still "In process" however. We had several updates to our ECAS along the way, pretty much at every major step (application received, forwarded to buffalo...

Quick question: We're still waiting patiently for my wife's PPR (she's currently visiting with me in Canada). If she's still here when she gets her PPR, can she send her passport from Canada, or will she have to fly home and mail it from the USA? Being able to mail it from here would make our...

I emailed Buffalo about my application (still "Application Received" on March 10, according to ECAS), and received this response: What does this mean? :s Does this mean they've actually started looking at our application and we're (fingers crossed) close to a PPR? Or could it mean anything?

I stuck my application in a folder inside the xpresspost package... surely they won't return it because of that? Edit: two folders rather, one for my application and one with all my evidence of my relationship

The CIC website says this for parent sponsorship: "Issuing acknowledgement letters for applications received on December 1, 2010" Although they list the sponsor assessment as taking 41 months ("working on applications received on December 22, 2010")
