Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone!

I would like to know if there is anyone else out there that is applying outland for their PR with Buffalo as the visa office that is processing your application. If so, please share your timeline and let's keep each other posted on progress. Also, if anyone is interested in applying outland to Buffalo, feel free to post here. I don't know much but we can all try and help each other out.

Hello to all!
I too am planning to apply outland through Buffalo :)

I am an American citizen, my fiance is a Canadian citizen.
First marriage for both, no children, no health problems, no criminal history.
I am 31 he is 18.

We have known eachother since late March of last year (Met in Canada)
Been close friends since then started dating August last year.
Living together Jan 1st 2010 - Apr 30th. (in Canada 2nd trip)
We are formaly engaged since Jan 6th, planning to marry here late June (in Boston)
We would apply after that, outland.

I am looking forward to being with my love for the rest of our lives.
Hopefully this thread will be helpful :)

Hubby is sending ours out today!!!!!!

I'm 25, he's 31, married in April of this year but known each other since 2003 and engaged in May of 2009. See each other at least once a month, usually more (He's T.O and I'm WV). Both natural born citizens with no criminal background.

No previous marriages, no children, no foreseeable issues except differences in religion and educational background, but don't think that will be a major problem.

I'll be joining him as a visitor in June after my teaching job is done.

Best of luck sbwv09 :)

I hope you don't find it weird but I have been keeping up with your posts. I am praying that you and your husband have a quick and smooth process.

We sent ours off last week, and are hoping for a very smooth process. Here are our details:

- Married, living together since August 2008. Dated for a year before marriage. He's on a student visa in the US, which is how we've been in the same city the whole time.
- He's Canadian born and raised, I'm US born and raised
- No previous marriages or children, but we're expecting our first child any week now
- No differences in age (I'm 29, he'll turn 29 in a few months), religion, background
- No medical or criminal issues

My signature has all my timeline details. We're really, really hoping that ours is a "straight-forward" case and that the processing will go smoothly. Good luck, everyone!

my application has been in Buffalo since March 25, 2010. from the looks of other applications we will not have more news for another 2 months - hopefully sooner but trying not to get my hopes up too high!

Good luck to everyone.

Hi guys!

We finally got the FBI cert on saturday so we should be sending our apps in tomorrow. Finally!

Here's our details:
Applicant: UK Citizen working in the US
Sponsor: Canadian who moved from the US to Ontario 3 months ago
We've been dating for 8 years and we are filing under common-law. No kids and clean records. No age/religion differences. Hopefully the interview will be waived although we are filing common-law.

Good luck everybody!

I am Canadian sponsoring my American husband. We have been married for 2 yrs and have a baby together. App received in CPC-M April 6, 2010, and Approved as Sponsor May 7, 2010, package forwarded to Buffalo.

Hi there! CIC Mississauga received our application April 14, 2010.

Me: Sponsor, Canadian
Him: Applicant, Mexican, but living in Canada as a TFW since 2008.
We're applying as common law partners. We have lived together for one year, we're similar ages and both professionals, the only thing is that I was married previously for one year (to a Canadian). We know that's our weak spot and so presented a lot of evidence on that issue.

I've seen some really great timelines come out of Buffalo applications and I hope that everyone here has similar luck.

LOL That's ok Panda.. hopefully things will go smoothly for everyone. My hubby's friend got his in less than 3 months total!

Mine went thru Buffalo but was then sent to New York to be "Expedited."

Unfortunately, somehow my FBI clearance certificate was LOST somewhere between Buffalo and New York. And now my process is held up for months (if I'm lucky, from 3-5 months extra).

(Buffalo acknowledged receipt of the complete application. And I kept a Xerxox of the FBI clearance. But New York will only accept an original FBI clearance . . . and the current wait time for clearance is at least 13 weeks, per the FBI website.)

PS: Since the FBI clearance "certificate" is actually only a simple letter from the FBI stating "no criminal history found," I honestly do NOT understand why they can't accept my Xerox along with my receipt that I paid the US gov for the FBI background check. It seems ludicrous. But there you go.

I'm sponsoring my American husband. He has lived in Canada on temporary work permits for just over two years and has been a visitor here since his last work permit expired in late December.

We applied back in the first week of December and our application has been in Buffalo since January (ECAS says they started processing January 19). Feels like they are never going to finish processing it :(

bonaker: I'm so sorry about that! :( I don't see why they wouldn't take a photocopy.. it's their fault!!

Hi there,

I also am sponsoring my husband (from Milwaukee) to join me in Mississauga.

We have known each other and been in a relationship since 2007 and married in March 2010. We also had an issue with the FBI fingerprints. We had the package complete and ready to be mailed by the 15th of March while I was visiting him after our wedding, but had not yet recieved the FBI clearance which had been requested in January 2010. I had to return to Mississauga and he was going to send the clearance by express post when it arrived. It arrived a week later, he sent it express, the next day, March 26th. Unfortunately, the US postal service decided to send it to Romania instead of to me in Canada, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :o. Oh well, thankfully it showed up here on April 14th and I sent the package to CPC-M the same day.

Timeline:

Sent to CPC-M: April 14/2010
Rec'd CPC-M: April 15/2010
Medical Complete : Feb 19/2010

Still waiting for sponsorship approval. Don't expect any problems. Will advise.

Thanks.
